I'm very interested to hear about your paranormal or supernatural experience(s). This has been a topic of interest to me for some time. I've made it a habit to ask people I interact with if they've ever had a paranormal or supernatural experience, even strangers, if the opportunity arises. I've heard many stories and I've gotten the impression that people rarely talk about them and appreciate being asked. Some of the experiences I've heard about so far are ghosts, shadow figures, poltergeist activity, light orbs, NDEs, OBEs (e.g. astral projection), ESP and UFOs. I've also had long conversations (online) with people who into various occult practices.

If you'd had a personal experience of anything like this (or any experience that defies natural/scientific explanation) I'd like to hear about it. More than half the people I've asked this question have a story to tell so I'm sure some of you have stories to tell.

That's a high percentage! It doesn't really surprise me, the demons are very angry (and active) in these Last Days, as per Revelation 12.

My mom claims to have had an experience staying at a hotel during one of her travels many years ago. She awoke in the middle of the night to see a shadowy, featureless mass standing at the foot of her bed. The room was very dark; the only source of light was the faint glow of the parking lot lights through the closed curtains of the window. After a few moments of trying to figure out what she was seeing, it silently and slowly glided around the corner of the bed and up alongside it towards her. She reached over to turn the lamp on, and it was gone.

The morning after we had to euthanise our sick cat, I swear I felt him jump into bed and cuddle up, and I heard him start purring just like he did when he was well. I've dreamt of passed on companion animals before, and this felt very different. I've also experienced sleep paralysis, and that's very different too. Was there a rational explaination? Possibly. Probably, even. Felt very real, though, and hard bitten cynic I am, it's hard not to take it as a message that he was pain free and happy.

In the early seventies we moved to a newly built street. Almost from the start strange things started to happen. Some of our neighbours experienced this too. The most scary was the trapdoor to the attic opening one night. This happened in at least two other houses?
Another time while I was alone in the living room I heard a noise from the kitchen, turning round I clearly saw a shadow pass across the kitchen cabinet. The noise was caused by a clothes brush which had been on a table, hitting the floor some distance away.

Upon returning from my step-father's funeral my mother realised that his photograph had vanished from the living room. It was never found
Such things went on for about five years before ceasing to occur.

I have told of two experiences in other threads.

I had one experience with precognition. At a thoroughbred racetrack in Maryland, USA, a vision of the winner and second place finisher of a ten-horse race appeared to me like a five-second video, in color, but of low quality. It repeated about a dozen times.

The winner I saw would be a chestnut wearing the number five saddle-cloth. I confirmed in the saddling area that the number five horse was indeed a chestnut. I then watched the actual race happen just as I had foreseen it.

I had one experience with telepathy. With my six year old daughter and my wife in my daughter's bedroom and I in the bathroom, my daughter sent and I received visions of 13 ordinary playing cards in a row before my daughter tired of the game and quit sending.

Yes, I was surprised at how many people have stories about such experiences. Often I’m one of very few people that the person has told their story to.

I agree about demons being very active. Just going by what I find on YouTube, there are large numbers of people foolishly attempting to make contact via ouija boards and other methods. With so many doors being opened it’s not surprising to me how much activity is occurring.

Thanks. Seeing shadow figures is one of the more common experiences I've been told about. Like you, my mother saw a shadow figure. It was during her youth but I've never heard anything about it until I recently specifically asked her about paranormal experiences. People don't tend to tell many other people about these kinds of experiences, reinforcing the misperception that it doesn't happen often (or at all).

Sometimes it involves sleep paralysis but if your Mom could reach for the light then it doesn't sound like that was part of her experience. Is that right?

I've not personally experienced anything like that, but I'm aware of several accounts of haunted dolls. I've seen several in videos but it's hard to know which ones are genuine unless the original source of the video is determined to be trustworthy. One 'ghost hunter' I feel like I can trust is Joe from the 'UGUE' YouTube channel. He rarely observes shadow figures but he encounters lots of poltergeist activity: Urban Ghosts Urban Exploration

I hadn't heard of that book but I found some information about it.
(a medium channeled three of the airmen who died in that dirigible crash and relayed their accounts of what they experienced.)
Puzzling accounts like that emphasize to me that there is more to "reality" than meets the eye!
