Interfaith Duets

Djamila

Please share some information, perhaps a link a video file or MP3 file, about your interfaith favorite duets.

My favorite is by the lead singer of SMS, who is Jewish, and Elvira Rahic, who is Muslim. The song is Za koga ove suze padaju, which means "For whom this tear falls".

I love it simply because Elvira Rahic is so conservative and so traditional, it's nice to see she is these things in a healthy way.

This duet isn't particularly religious, it's more communist. :D But the female singer is a Croatian Roman Catholic and the male singer is a Bosniak Muslim legend - truly, he is the equivalent of Elvis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It's Ovako ne mogu dalje, which is like - this can go on.

And the most beautiful interfaith duet I know to date. This is Hajrudin Varesanovic, a Bosniak Muslim with some Jewish heritage, singing with Ivana - a Croatian Roman Catholic with some Orthodox Christian heritage.

The song is Navodno "Would be", and it is truly breathtaking. The live versions are even better, but I only have those on VHS.
