Euh.... nordstream harmed Russia, as they were making billions from it and used it as an asset for blackmailing europe.
It didn't actually harm the EU, as the decision was already made to move away from Russian gas and by that time, deliveries of gas through the pipeline were already halted also.
Why would Ukraine try to harm the EU and / or Germany?

One of those pipelines was never operational, and wouldn't have become operational either. The project was already halted.
And the other was already not delivering any gas any longer, and everybody assumed it would never come online again.
So really, the sabotage was more symbolic then anything else. Economically and in terms of actual gas supplies, it actually had no impact at all.
We've been over this multiple times already.
Do you wish me to repost the data again straight from the nordstream monitoring system again which shows black on white how Russia had been gradually lowering gas delivery and by doing so creating artificial shortages and the resulting energy crisis in Europe and eventually completely shut it down a month before it was blown up?
