Personal pronoun.Which "I" are you speaking of?
Personal pronoun.
The later. Are you speaking of the I that is the person, i.e. the body/mind? Or are you speaking of the I that is the observer of that and everything else?
The later.
I am i
Was the lower case "i" intentional? If so, what is the significance?
I don't see that "I" as an illusion. Quite the opposite, actually. I view the former as illusory and the "I' that I speak of in the latter as real.
So what is that "I"?
Ego.
I think ego is a construct, an idea, which provides an identity.I suppose I could have framed the question better. My apologies for not doing so.
Are you saying the former or latter is the ego?
Yes, it's constructed over a lifetime. Who would you be without one?I think ego is a construct, an idea, which provides an identity.

If the I is an illusion, what am I?
Good question. It would seem that it is a necessity...or not?Yes, it's constructed over a lifetime. Who would you be without one?
I see it pretty much as personality or character, which most of us would probably not want to lose even if we might like to alter such, even if the psychological definition of such is more specific.Good question. It would seem that it is a necessity...or not?
