I used to have a Jordanian friend who had an American English tutor and then a British English tutor before having an American English tutor again. He noticed the differences and he highly preferred American English.

In my case, I would feel awkward pronouncing comfortable the way a Southern English English speaker would.

I used to know a Welshwoman who thought of black as a c-o-l-o-r whereas all the others were each a c-o-l-o-u-r.

I’d love to hear your accent. But I’d almost bet you don’t have one.

Most of my friends who are native speakers agree that I have an accent, albeit not a very noticeable one. I don't know how noticeable it is myself, but I don't mind it as long as my speech is clear!

I hand copy texts, can take weeks sometimes. I noticed if the translator is Ennglish I'll sometimes copy the American spelling instead of the English. Which is bad, needs to be a exact copy. My brain changes it automatically.

I don't say it that way. I use all four syllables. "Com-fort-uh-bull". Am I saying it wrong?

bro yall got me saying comfortable over and over trying to remember how to pronounce it. My southern USian accent is confusing me. At least it's better then the time someone told me to try to say flyswatter and not say it with a southern accent. I can't do it. My mouth don't work that way. I pronounce it flass-water with a long a in flass
