Is America more or less religious?

I can not say what a God or other enlighten beings think, The things I speak of here is within the Falun Dafa teaching. but when I speak it is from my own understanding of Falun gong and Falun Dafa teaching, No human beings are at the same wisdom level. So this is one reason many disagree when it comes to spiritual discussions. Because we think what we understand is the highest of wisdom, But as soon as you rise to a higher level, you would understand that what previously understood was actually not the highest truth.
A God or a Buddha has reached enlightenment and has surpassed human understanding so much that if you looked into a Buddha's mind, you would not see a ripple in his/her thought.

All I speak of in this forum is my understanding of the teaching. Probably in a few months or a year i will look back on this discussion and understand that my words now, did not give the full truth. But it does to my ability and understanding right now. I have never said and will never say I understand everything in spiritual teaching.
If you disagree, that is ok to me because I know that we see reality in different ways.
While I see things very differently, I like your lack of Truth.
(When it's capitalized, it's the dysfunctional kind.)

Less religious, but more moral.
You know, I'm not certain that I'm seeing the "more moral" argument. Certainly when I look at politics today, especially in the U.S., in Britain and other places.

To a large degree, I also truly feel that many people (in politics) who express religious beliefs don't actually hold them. I offer up Mitch McConnell as one example: the man who swore an oath "before God" to uphold the Constitution, and who will shortly swear an oath to "fairly" try the articles of impeachment against the President -- and who has publicly stated that he will do no such thing. This is, in very real fact, denying your "oath before God." Who can really argue that this shows a true, gut belief? Not I!

Clearly it is a two steps forward one step back situation. But if one looks at the big picture there has been constant improvement. Is there still racism and homophobia? Of course. But compare it to sixty years ago. Or even twenty. There will be something backlash to improvements, but progress still occurs.

Without being too blunt, there is mostly no morality left in the human world if we look at how a God would want us to act, speak or think, we as a human race are far from how a God would agree that moral beings should behave. Its enough to watch Tv for 15 minutes and we can see that the world are in turmoil.
To be fair, media loves mayhem. Your average do-gooder isn't going to make the evening news.

Is America becoming more or less religious? And why?

America, along with the world, is becoming more religious. More or less.

It's just that since 2015, people have been shifting from the seven heads, the seven kings, on the composite beast, to the 8th king. Which I see as Lucifer's theocratic government. I know, you don't believe in the Devil.

Proskuneo, (worship), means also to submit to or to obey. While the whole world, or the majority of it, wanders after the composite beast, they, by default, worship the Devil . To it he has given his power and his throne and his great authority.

"People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” - Revelation 13:4

I can hear it open it's mouth to blaspheme G-d and His dwelling place and those who live in heaven.

Welcome to the forum Rabbi Daniel.

I think I remember a forum called: Ask the Rabbi.

They really hated Jesus' guts over there.

One of the moderators was named Rabbi Daniel;

eternal punishment for most of mankind?

It was spooky.

Spookier than believing Satan is literally (but surreptitiously) running the world?

No, you're right.

Both are spooky.

But it's spookiest believing Satan is literally (but surreptitiously) running the world.

You said it good.

Surreptitious is the right word.

@Dave Watchman ,

No, no. Seitan... S E I T A N. ( link ) It requires a careful preparation. And Yes, it is a little sneaky, but the secret's out. Seitan is a tasty non-soy meat alternative; it's not spooky at all. :cool:
