Is atheism a threat to humanity?

I think atheists are a bigger threat to themselves. The ones I know drink too much, do too many drugs, and play too much Dungeons & Dragons even though they graduated college many years ago!

Atheists are known to be able to graduate from college even while drinking, taking drugs and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

that sort of amazing smartness is actually the main reason why they do not believe in imaginary beings.

"MIND" is what we call "consciousness" . When you sleep, your BODY "sleeps", including your "brain",
but your consciousness is still active. It NEVER goes way, because that is what we are, NOT this physical body.
However, our consciousness can "sleep" too......we call this "DEATH"

Still waiting on that example of mind existing without brain that you require to give this claim any sort of weight.

And how exactly do you know that? What methods did you use to gain this knowledge? How can this knowledge be tested for accuracy, and reproduced?

I of course expect cogent answers to exactly 0 of these questions, yet until you can answer them, there is no reason to take this claim seriously.

I "know" because I was told by the "MIND" that is..
I gained this knowledge by going out of my physical body and seeking it...

This knowledge can be tested and reproduced by doing said exercise..
if one (you) cannot do this, then you need to learn how first..

if you are unwilling to DO anything but sit and criticize those who KNOW MORE than you
then you are without excuse for lacking this knowledge.

But nobody is trying to do reduce away subjectivity using any particular method.

In fact, the whole idea of the brain DOING mind, which is where I'm standing, makes no sense if we are not all subjectivity experiencing it.

However, the premise that mind is 'stuff', existing independent of brain would require an example of this stuff existing free of the brain doing it to be seriously considered or discussed.

We haven't arrived at step one yet.

We don't have to. Some humans confuse in effect the objective and subjective.
As long as somebody that a subjective belief*, which works as giving rise to further behavior for which the further behavior works in accordance with how the universe works in practice, then the subjective belief* works as can be observed. Now the subjective belief* can be wrong as far as methodological naturalism goes, but it doesn't matter, because it is a subjective belief*.

Example: The belief in witches and the end result of burning them on the stake.
In short:
Unreal beliefs can have real effects.
I have now explained and informed you of how the subjective works sometimes. Now please explain, how that is not, how the universe works in part. You can't. You can claim it is wrong, but that is not science.

That is where we end and how some people do it. That has nothing to do with religion in particular. That happens within politics and morality a lot.
