If you are one of those who believe turning on the computer equates to making fire on the Sabbath, and thus forbidden, than you are in violation. If so, just say that the cat turned it on. Or the dog. Or you bumped into it.

And I would say to follow your conscience on what to do on the Sabbath- if it feels wrong --- DON'T DO IT.
