You're obsessed with ONE very poor example to defend your POV. Why not look up credible sources, preferably academic and peer reviewed to support your position. Using this one only makes you look...well...extremely uninformed.Please do not advocate that its safe for men to consume estrogen at will (like the priests who take them to tamper their libidos). There are no specific studies about estrogen conversion of sexual orientation. Why? Again, read that article about Bruce Jenner's orientation after transitioning. If you don't believe them, contact them for the names of some of the doctors so you can ask them yourself. This topic is taboo because gay reparative therapy is not supposed to work, and because it hurts both gays and trans. Again, my main concern is that it's being given to gays without their knowledge or consent. Ignorance in this case is not bliss, it is dangerous.

I looked at your cite. Why would I take estrogen? I'm a female without hormonal issues. I asked for more credible sources like actual academic stuff, not ****ty tabloids which are so melodramatic they could give soap opera writers a run for their money.

There are no more credible sources, because Bruce Jenner's transition still shocks, because few will talk about it. Take it for what it is. Please don't make it seem like you want more than you can get. Are you taking estrogen and a man? If so, do you find it calms you or makes you for metro-sexual?

This is very disturbing to read.... There are certain common denominators amongst straight women, as there are common denominators amongst straight men, and as there are common denominators amongst gay guys, and as there are common denominators among lesbian girls. If you compare a gay guy to a straight guy, they dont have a whole lot in common, but also if you compare a gay guy to a straight girl, or a lesbian girl, they still dont have the same common denominators.
So if its difficult for you to understand homosexuality, just think of straight guys as one gender, straight girls as another gender, gay guys as a third gender, and lesbian girls as a fourth. Because wherever you go in the world, even to the most isolated parts where there is only one gay person, somehow the way that gay people are; is the same.
I mean obviously not exactly the same, but those common denominators are the same.
And no one taught them how to be that way, and there wasnt one day that they woke up and they were just like that, they were BORN that way. And they cant change just like a heterosexual man cant turn into a heterosexual girl.
Because they are born like that and what people fail to realize is that the majority of their identity is NOT just who they are attracted to, they are a whole different type of person all together, the way they act, their interests etc. And so if they were asked to change, they would completely erase absolutely everything about themselves and what would be left would be an empty shell, with a fake outside and no inside at all.

I agree with some of what you say but strongly disagree that gay people represent a differing gender. Nor do I agree that they act differently or have different interests. That is rather ludicrous really. Gays can be anything and, very often with drag queens and effeminate men or masculin women being the exceptions, you would not know who wa gay or not. If you met me, you would never be able to tell I am gay.

I was merely trying to break it down in an extremely simple way for people who are very unfamiliar with this. Of course I know gay people come in all shapes and I have known several myself who you can not tell are gay. Im an artist and I was trying to paint a picture! No offense meant

The complete theme of this thread is an affront. We have debates about gay marriage and adoption here in G., but very few people dare to call homosexuality an illness. I am a little bit dosturbed about healing programs like they were mentioned here. It was thrown out of the list of mental disorders in the 70s i think, but there are still people who don't acxept it. What is the point of judging people who they love or have sex with? Aren-t there much bigger problems in the world?

of course there are but many think that SSM and so on will ultimately lead to the end of the nuclear family, will cause children to become pedophiles or whatever because, as everyone knows, gays are also pedophiles much more than straight people (sarcastic remark). And no, those 'camps' are ineffectual and actually do much more harm than not.
Well, which creator would this be then? I have a firm belief in God and I am Buddhist. I know for a fact we have Hindus here, and Jews and Muslims and Pagans and so on. So exactly what 'creator' are we discussing here?

There's only ONE Creator and he certainly isn't the flesh that we observe in this world. He is outside of His creation and we will never see Him. This is why He used the flesh of man in the form of prophets and saints to testify to Him and His plan for us.
