Is it better to be victims or perpetrators

Ok, I will give you a very dull example.
Let's say that a man slaps you because he doesn't agree with you. But then he says he's sorry
what do you do?

I will attempt to keep my distance from him and pay at least a bit at attention at his behavior from them on to gauge his mental stability and typical attitude, probably.

Better to be neither. If you are attacked, it is better to defend yourself, if possible, than risk further injury, making you neither victim or perpetrator. Being a perpetrator is to be cruel.

Actions hurt people and remain carved in history. Thoughts don't
Thoughts have been carved into history and have changed history many times. Thoughts provoke actions, and unlike people, thoughts and ideas are bullet proof.

of course I meant that it is better to be neither. I meant that, if we were forced to choose given the circumstances, it'd be better to be victim. Obviously this is my personal opinion

well...I meant thoughts that remain thoughts and nobody learns of them, because they remain in someone's mind and don't become actions.

in case of sudden physical attack, you just cant make up your mind fast enough to chose. a most pasifist person can kill. so i cant tell which one i can be.

in case of being subject to an unwanted -unjust behaviour, i prefer to be victim, if i have to pick one. it at least just shows that i didnt fail myself morally.

in case of having a wild thought, i want to be a perpetrator.. or where else would i exercise?

Wild thought? What is that exactly?

like when somebody hurts someone you love, you think of him as a chicken in his next life.
or when you are in a situation where a loved one is in danger, you make such a fast plan in your mind, it almost feels like you are defragmanting the air as you imagine your next step. ( my mom recently lost her mother and has health problems with her heart )
well- you know defragmanting air would be a crime against natural laws and balance.

In other words: if you are hurt by someone, will you fight them back?

IMO people should defend and protect themselves and their family from any danger. . .

Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. 22.39

a Christian concept is "Turn the other cheek".
But it doesn't mean that the perpetrator is forgiven or saved.
The perpetrators will have their "reward" in their afterlife. And that is supposed to be sufficient.
But if I fight the perpetrators back, I automatically transform them into victims.
And yet I want them to remain perpetrators, so they can receive what they deserve
in the afterlife.

So I would always prefer to be a victim, rather than a perpetrator.

is your god so easily fooled?
