Crucifixion is pretty horrific, i think most Jesus followers have seen that in several Jesus moves. So there is no reason not to watch other horror movies without a certain amount of hypocrisy.

I don't think horror as a genre is immoral per se. But I think it's questionable if we find ourselves taking pleasure in the depiction of evil: especially preternatural evil.
