Is it not a greater sign than raising one from dead?

Neither did Jesus raise anyone from the dead literally and physically nor did he himself got resurrected from the literally and physically dead.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (Second Coming of Messiah) prophesied on February 20, 1886, on receipt of Word of Revelation from G-d for the birth of a great son who will be known to the corners of the Earth, with the title name “Musleh Maud” or a promised Reformer. The Promised son was born January 12. 1889.

Hmm... I would say no. Necromantic powers are pretty damn impressive - if I ever saw that with my own eyes. XD

If a christian needs this final testament to believe in God then maybe they should not be Christians ? .
Jesus spoke for God true christians believed in God long before , the crucifixion is final testament I see a little theatre makes no difference.
Christian world have concepts like equal rights, liberty ,universal sufferage etc is better way of life

Man, that'd be mighty impressive if I knew who you were talking about. Since I don't, I think we can toss this in the ever-growing "failure pile".

As with some others, I'm going to go with necromancy being superior to the foretelling of a supposedly special person's birth.

History is littered with minor prophets. Predicting the birth of yet another is not too impressive.

Jesus was raised by his daddy. Odin raised himself from the dead! Much more impressive.

Personally, I find the human form limits my power. All this sleeping, eating, and having to urinate or poop. Also, it doesn't even have the forethought to come with a hygiene system. I literally spend 1/3 of my life on body maintenance, and a couple hours after that just evading smelling like the bog of eternal stench. Thus, I cannot actually imagine why some super-powerful spiritual being would ever want to come back to this trash heap -- it is a severe waste of one's time.

Thus, I don't believe in these incarnate gods because anyone with such a power would have no interest in coming back here. Imagine going from a being with nearly limitless spiritual power to a feeble and insignificant human with tons of extra inconvenience. The argument just never makes sense, and having been someone that has had a sip from that well I wouldn't find a reason why we would or should ever WANT to come back even if it was possible.

In context, death should be celebrated like one celebrates a birthday -- you finally get to be free of the constant pain in the *** your body really is lol.

I can just imagine the self-motivational pep-talk Odin gives himself as he climbs down from Yggdrasil, dusting himself off and straightening his neck.

"Okay, that went pretty well but it's time to kick off the training wheels, Odin. You're the All-Father now so you can't be hanging around on trees all day. You can do this."

Peace be on you.
IMH understanding, Hazrat Promised Messiah Mahdi (on whom be peace) said:
".....Thus although, this sign apparently seems equal to revival of dead, but by pondering it will be known this sign is hundreds of time better that revival of dead. The soul of dead come back by prayer, and here too, a soul is brought by prayer, but there is [as like] distance of millions of miles between this soul and those souls. "

SOME ASPECTS TO BE CONSIDERED
i--He (on whom be peace) does not mean (as he explained in other places) that once people are really dead, they come back. At places, he mentioned about again coming of Elijah and Jesus, and coming back of saints from tombs after Jesus' on cross as metaphor matters.

ii-- Quran [7:26] And it is an inviolable law for a township which We have destroyed that they shall not return.

iii- All Prophets come to make dead alive spiritually.

iv-- Quran [8:25] O ye who believe! respond to Allah, and the Messenger when he calls you that he may give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a man and his heart, and that He it is unto Whom you shall be gathered.

v- God listens to the prayers of Prophets and show miracles: For example:
"In 1906, Allah the Almighty exhibited a great medical sign at the hands of the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, by curing rabies, generally an untreatable disease. Abdul-Kareem, a student from the town of Yādgeer of Deccan state, was studying in Qadian at the time. He was bit by a rabid dog. He was sent to a special hospital in Kasauli for treatment. He came back to Qadian after days of treatment. But, after a few days, the signs of the disease started appearing in him. He became afraid of water. He shunned light. Everyone thought that he would die in a few days. He was moved from the school dormitory to a house. A wire was sent to the English physicians in Kasauli to inquire whether he could be treated. They responded that nothing can be done for Abdul Karim. The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, felt strongly about his condition. Members of the community also requested the Promised Messiah, ‘alaihissalam, to pray for Abdul-Kareem. There was the danger that his death would give the adversaries of Ahmadiyyat a chance to ridicule. Abdul-Kareem was a young man and away from his family. These circumstances had great effect on the Promised Messiah, peace be on him. The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, started praying for him fervently and with great attention. The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, was pointed to a remedy which he administered to Abdul-Kareem. Suddenly Abdul-Kaeem started getting better. He was not afraid of light anymore. He started drinking water. He performed ablution with water and offered Prayers and had a good night’s sleep. He was alright in a matter of days and all signs of the disease were gone. Abdul-Kareem lived for another 28 years after his revival to tell about his miraculous cure from rabies and died in December 1934."

== Thus by the mercy of God, prayers are accepted, and miracles happen, lives are extended, incurables are cured, but once people are really dead they do not come. [ajal and ajulum musama]
[6:3] He it is Who created you from clay, and then He decreed a term. And there is another term fixed with Him. Yet you doubt!

For some reason a person reach at a condition that he should die [disease or something], but prayers of a Righteous [Prophets or Khulafa] work as intersession and the person get more life.

This revival of dead is miracle, and it is within laws of God.........But those gone since long time do not comes back.

vi--Why this Prophecy of Musleh Maud [bringing a soul by prayer] is superior than ordinary revival of dead?
IMH understanding, since this soul was to serve the purpose of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) which was:
A=Quran [8:25] O ye who believe! respond to Allah, and the Messenger when he calls you that he may give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a man and his heart, and that He it is unto Whom you shall be gathered.

and
B= The Companion Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day we were sitting with Holy Prophet when Surah Jumua [ch62] was revealed. I enquired from the Holy Prophet, Who are the people to whom the words, "And among others who have not yet joined them" Salman, the Persian was sitting among us. Upon my repeated asking him the same question the Holy Prophet put his hand on Salman and said;If faith were to go up to the Pleiades, a man from these would surely find it. [Ref: Book of Hadith, Bukhari]

So Musleh Moud was to play a vital part in the phenomenon of coming of Promised Messiah Mahdi to make whole humanity spiritually alive.... That is why this miracle was greater than simple revival of dead.

All praise to Allah the Lord of all people.

"And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers." Qur'an (3:49)

Doesn't this verse from Qur'an clearly say that Isa Alaihissalam (Jesus) gave life to the dead by permission of Allah?
