Cannabis has not only been long associated with the religious history of Hinduism--but every major religion on the planet! For example, the Levitical/Aaronic priesthood would breath the fumes of resins, cannabis, and acacia bark, amongst other things, made into a mixture. This has also survived into Gnostic tradition where the orders would perform similar rituals, and many theorize that Jesus as a member of the messianic lineage may or may not have participated in the initiation ritual of meditating in the initiation room full of smoke. Though in Baha'i Law hallucinogenics and other mind-torpering substances are expressly prohibited--there is not a single mention of the cannabis plant, let alone a negative tone, and moreover it is a historical fact that Baha'u'llah Himself, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith, smoked Persian hookahs, and though only tabacco use was ever documented, I nor anyone else can deny at least the possibility that a modern prophet may or may not have at least at some point in His life ingested pot ("green tabacco" to the Persians).
