Depends on what faith we are talking about. In Islam he is a prophet or wise man. Unitarians seem to believe something similar, though with Jesus having a specific role in the salvation of mankind (I think but someone may correct me). Trinitarian Christians, which encompasses most denominations, believe Jesus is God incarnate and the second Person of the Trinity, so God.

I rather think the JWs, uniquely, think biblical references to the Archangel Michael refer to Jesus. They seem to have a view of Jesus as not being God, but being created by God before everything else, and also being the intermediary in the creation of everything else (presumably as implied in the concept of of the Word, expounded in St John's Gospel).

However as far as almost the whole of Christianity is concerned Jesus is God The Son, made man.

I believe Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher. Neither God nor prophet nor holy man. I don't mean this to diminish Jesus in any way. He has been seen differently by different Christian sects, especially in the early days of the faith.

Jesus is the Son of God who was sent as a messenger from God and as the Messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Being the Son of God means that Jesus has come from God and has the same nature as His Father and so we can call Him our God. This does not mean more than one God however as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are united as one God.
Some say that Michael the Archangel is also Jesus. Michael means "like God" which Jesus is.
Michael is the chief angel (archangel) and leads the angels of God.
"Angel" in this context means "messenger" and not a created being because the scriptures teach that Jesus has not been created.

Gods are generally of our creation.
Sure clothed in traditional lore but we personalize God into someone we find acceptable.

Whatever concept of God you adopt, people add their own flavor to it.

Jesus was an incarnation of the eternal Avatar. When the Avatar takes birth as a human, the God-Man is born.

I grew up with the notion that Jesus was God, but I never really could understand the logic behind it. Actually, most of religion is illogical which makes it incomprehensible and nonsensical. For example, if Jesus is God, then who was Jesus talking to when he said "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

We don't really have much to go on, other than a few vague writings from questionable sources from thousands of years ago, so to draw any definitive conclusions based on scant evidence seems premature.

I've heard some people say that they think Jesus was actually a space traveler, not a God or even a son of a God, but just a being from an advanced race of people who visited Earth at some time in the past. Of course, there's no evidence that was the case, but I suppose it's a possibility as much as anything else one might speculate.

Bible tells Jesus is a man, mediator between God and men.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1 Timothy 2:5

He is the messenger of God, because he said he says what God has commanded him to speak.

Jesus therefore answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
John 7:16

He who doesn't love me doesn't keep my words. The word which you hear isn't mine, but the Father's who sent me.
John 14:24

For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak."
John 12:49-50

Most assuredly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me."
John 13:20

Bible tells also that Jesus is image of God and the temple of God.

...is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. ...
Colossians 1:14

... The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
John 14:10

Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." The Jews therefore said, "Forty-six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days?" But he spoke of the temple of his body.
John 2:19-21

And as Jesus says, there is only one true God that is greater than him.

This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
John 17:3

the Father is greater than I.
John 14:28
