The Washington Post had a sweeping, searing piece that described a “dysfunctional” and chaotic office full of bitter enmities. A consistent problem: Ms. Harris refuses “to wade into briefing materials prepared by staff members” and would “then berate employees when she appeared unprepared.” A former staffer said she’s not “willing to do the prep and the work.” There had been a similar, heavily sourced report from CNN. In the San Francisco Examiner an aide to Ms. Harris when she was California’s attorney general, Gil Duran, wrote a column saying such tales of chaos have a familiar ring.

Let's see. As far as I can tell, she...

• hasn't scammed anybody out of their money with a fake university
• didn't lose millions of other people's money while claiming to be a selfmade millionaire
• didn't order the police to beat up protesters so she could pose in the streets with a Bible in hand
• didn't cast doubt on her country's entire voting process when she was in danger of losing a national election.

So no, she doesn't even come close at the moment.

But I do find it hilarious that apparently, comparing politicians to Trump has become a go-to shortcut to throw shade on them in the US nowadays.

She appears to have a management style similar
to The Donald, eg, unprepared, abusive to staff.

I understand the need to defend her.
But it's worth taking a look at her shortcomings,

Ouch! Although, I remember similar stories came up when she was selected for VP. If I recall, it was from her time as the DA.

not examining Hillary in a critical light.

Suffice to say no I don't think she's Trump lite, just sounds like a lazy VP, and honestly I think it's fairly irrelevant. But I don't know much about Trump or Harris so maybe they are more alike than I think. Humans only come in a few varieties so it would not be surprising to me, they are both ghouls and goblins that rule us. Such is my opinion.

Intellectual laziness is bad enuf in a potentially
imminent President. But there's also abuse of staff.
This combination contributed to Trump's troubles.
Hence, the "Trump lite" tag.

Or would that be 'Bush lite"? Or perhaps "Reagan Lite"? Politicians, especially those at the top, have become more and more 'play-actors'. Playing the role of dear leader for the cameras as scripted by spinners and strategists with all eyes on the next election cycle. And when the show doesn't play as well as they wanted, they blame the cue-card holder even though he didn't write the dialogue nor deliver it.

As vice president Harris' job is to do nothing while looking presidential so she can't be blamed for anything when she runs for president. Meanwhile the opposition is trying to cut her off at the knees before she can even make a run for it. It's a hard role to write for.

Voting for Biden/Harris was not pleasant for those in my circle (myself included). We saw it as a necessity and simply hope for better in 2024.
