God is love, and he is acceptable. If God never created anything to love him back he would still be infinitely happy but he would not be known.

This saying is true 'as a man has loved so is he'. You can know a great deal about someone by looking at the intensity of their love. However you would not know anything significant about that man, if he did not have someone to bestow that love upon.

If God had never bothered to make his existance known he would be loving, because he is love, but he would not have been known to be loving.

To know that you are loved is to know the one who loves you.
