Is prostitution acceptable?

How many people on here want their family to do it?

It wouldn't have made any difference to me if any of my children had chosen to take money or gifts for sex.
I have no idea whether they might have done or not.

Just now prostitution isn't fashionable, it's even an offence in some countries, but in the past it has been an honourable profession.

It just depends on time and place, and the levels of self-righteousness going around.

Example: Even today the average Christian thinks that Magdalene was a prostitute made good, just because some Pope declared this as a personal opinion, back in the day. This just might have been to scotch rumours that she layed with Jesus and was his love.

Prostitution, like estate agency services (whatever) is ok. It's burglary, robbery, violence and even lies that I despise most.

Is it prostitution if a person has sex with another in order to get advantage in a career or profession?
Is it prostitution if a person has sex with another because they have a luxury yacht and great wealth?
Is it prostitution if a person has sex with anotyher after a lovely night out with free dinner and gifts?

Is it any different if one person offers another a gift of any kind for sex?

There is a small African country where middle aged UK women go for holidays. They are met at the airport by masses of young men offering to be guides, security and friendship during their holidays. Is that OK?

It's OK if it's a free informed choice, but if they want to coerce folks into having clean windows, then 'NO'!
