I've been seeing a large solid black bar across the content.
It does disappear ....a few jumps from one page to another does it.

This website is nearly impossible to use without adblockers or tools like privoxy. It runs slow on a laptop that I just bought TODAY so I can't imagine how bad it is on someone else's machine if they are more than a few years -- oh wait, I can.. My other computer is a six year old Toshiba laptop. For a page that is mostly text 1+ minute load times even on old hardware are insane. I hate to pry, but I can't imagine a site such as this profiting much off ads, not that anyone really does. They are just annoyances to the users in general, and sometimes they are even security considerations.

Use Chrome + Adblock Plus. I have to or I can't even use this site. My computer is brand new.
