Is Science Better Than Religion?

No you did not. You just think you did.

From nature.

Where does mythology come from?
Yes I did...yes I did yes I did...You just think I didn't....lol

No...nature is nature, not from nature....

Mythology come from stories and cultural beliefs associated with many aspects of existence...from the personal to the cosmic...

Mythology come from stories

That's right based on their ignorance of the natural world. Its how we ended up with creation mythology.

Back then they had no idea what a conscious mind even was, and blames bad thoughts on demons and good ones on deities of choice.

Today we know better and yesterdays mythology does not fly as it does back then.

You are only speaking of your own opinion...and with a very broad brush......which you are welcome to.....but there are many who would disagree that all mythology is without some meaningful truth..

Do you "read" your favoured scriptures with same sloppy approach as the above reveals?

I tend to follow academia as close as possible. Its a shame you don't understand what that is.

I tend to think that "academia" to you is kinda like what the pope is to Catholicism. You view science as infallible and something to be idolised. It's a shame you don't understand that you downgrade the very same attitude you demonstrate yourself. :(

Your "religion" is science.

Your wrong again.

Haha....so you have no individual understanding...just a belief in the priests of acadamia... This is so funny that you reveal yourself a a follower....a faithful member of the flock of acadamia.. no different to the faithful members of the flocks of religious institutions..

Fanaticism always mocks education and knowledge.
No one is mocking academia...that's a strawman....what is being mocked are the.mindless uncritical followers of academia like yourself....anyone that believes everything that is produced by academics is absolute truth is ignorant beyond belief....lol...

Academics base their assumptions of evidence and reason?
So do those who believe in the Creator. We each take notice of the "evidence" that supports our belief. You and I are no different really. Neither has actual "proof" of what we "believe". We each prefer to believe our own teachers. So I see no advantage to belief in evolution because it means that nothing will change....no one can ever make this earth a better place and no one gets to live the life we all know should be ours. conditions on earth are getting worse, not better in spite of all the applications of science and technology. We have less excuse than ever for this situation!

Why are we collectively programmed to live in paradise, do you think? Why do we all want to go there....even if it's for a vacation? Why do we collectively have the desire to go on living when we already know that our life is finite? Who in their right mind of any age and in good health, looks forward to death? Why are we the only creatures to whom death is foreign? Why are we the only beings who can contemplate our own demise? How does evolution explain that?

I have evidence for everything I believe. You have believed lies of people attempting to discredit many sciences. Believing in god has nothing to do with it. I know plenty of people who believe in god and manage to accept reality and evidence just fine. As far as the mechanisms go that determine what it is that we hold to be "true" we are polar opposites.
