***NONC MEANS NON-CHRISTIAN. SORRY FOR THE INCONVIENCE, THE POLL WOULDN'T LET ME TYPE ALL THAT IN***

Is the Bible complete? Do you believe as a Christian that it is complete, or do you believe that it has been changed in little ways, some things taken out or added to and the 'plain and precious' truths that may have been there have been changed?

As a non-Christian, an observer, do you believe that the Bible is complete or do you believe things have been added and taken out of it?

I pretty much know everyone's answer on this, but this thread will lead to another thread that I plan on making, if you vote, your name will show up and I will use this for my other thread. :) (Just warning you!)

Considering the New Testament has been in the hands of men, who are fallible, for almost two thousand years, I believe that the Bible has likely been modified, though I do not know to what extent. Some of the errors may be entirely innocent... a simple mistranslation or error in transcription. Some of the errors may not have been so innocent.

Nothing can be added or taken from it. It's complete in the form God intended it to be.

Ah, I see. Thanks.

I voted (as you can see) [NonC] No. There have been errors, thing added and things taken out.

But with your definition of 'complete', that would not be completely accurate since I do not believe the Bible came from God, but rather from the writings and culture of man.

Sorry I can't explain myself better, I think the thread that will use this will make sense once I get more people to vote!:)

I would like option 5 please:

No. There is some information that has gone missing, but what remains is quite sufficient to do its salvific job.

I don't think what reamins is quite sufficient, I believe there is some missing that would change the view a lot. So, I'm only allowing these 4 options, you'll see why.

I look forward to reading the thread.

So I've decided I'm going to let this thread run for a day or so to get people to vote. I'd really like a backing on each point, but I don't think I'll get any for the 3rd POV (just thought I'd add that in there, needed to cover all bases)

Well, the Bible is the Bible and therefore complete being what it is in itself..... Yet, considering people voted what to put in and what to keep out -and the fact that there are many Bibles (or at least a few different versions of the Holy Bible which I can only assume that you refer to)- I voted for the last option.

I believe with all my heart that the Bible that I read is complete.

It is the inspired Word of God and serves as an infallible guide.

If errors exist...if books were removed by man that weren't supposed to be removed...I don't believe they've altered the heart of God's Word...the message of Christ Jesus and the life that can be obtained only through accepting His precious sacrifice.:)

I don't discount that books have been removed and that errors by man may exist within its pages but I don't doubt God and His Word and feel the Word is more than sufficient.

So you believe there has been additions and removals then?
