The Baptists of the Confederate States actually used the Bible to justify slavery, and justify it strongly enough as endorsed by God to divide the nation and go to war. The "superiority" of Christian Europeans over indigenous people has been the crux of cruelty and extermination and slavery for centuries.

I then explained their aim is to shield workers, whether here legally or not, who are essential to the national economy. These policies are enacted due to congress not solving the immigration problem.
