Israel Advocating Limiting Free Speech In USA ??

There's some poetic irony in an Israeli demanding the US change their laws in response to a political cartoon showing Israel leading the US in terms of policy...

The irony being that it's an anti-Semitic trope.

Haha so funny. If only people hadn't been murdered over it.

Quite literally every country constantly weighs in, gives comments about other countries. Heaven forbid someone does it towards the Israel. Let's get the tar and feathers.

>American news station voices opinion on Israel.
>Israeli ambassador: MUH HATE SPEECH YOU ANTISEMITE!!

Alternately

>Israel's ambassador to the UN voices his opinion
>Americans voice their opinion.
>Flankerl: OMG HE'S JUST VOICING HIS OPINION GET OVER IT.

Every other country shrugs it off. Americans somehow can't. They have to whine about it.

Of course it's okay for people to express opinions and criticisms, and that goes both ways.

Good.

Just calling a spade a spade.

Le evil Apartheid with more diversity than all countries in Europe.
Oh so evil.

Now go and fight in Yemen.

Self obsession?

Heaven forbid Jews voice their opinions when they are attacked with age old anti-Semitic canards after two Synagogues were attacked in the US.

Boohoo those self-obsessed Jews.

You think an Israeli should be dictating to the US?
I think a representative of a government can advocate for a particular position especially when it does not require a change in US law, just an application, in line with other applications. Has no sitting US president said that a foreign country should change its laws or practices?

That you call it "dictating" is telling. Israel is not dictating anything because the US is not required to follow anyone else's dictates.

Do you not understand what apartheid means? It necessitates diversity. There's just systemic discrimination. But I guess Jim Crow never existed because America was diverse

Self-obsession is evident in advocating limiting speech
against their group, but not against any other.

I have not followed this story very closely. Was the cartoon anti-semitic or was it political? I could not tell, but I thought it was political.

l'm a dupe of the Shoe Industrial Complex, you say?
You can trace this back to the 1930's when movies like the Wizard of Oz were used to subliminally inject the intentions of the Shoe Industrial Complex into popular culture. Forest Gump is another example. So is the Man with One Red Shoe. Using beloved characters like Al Bundy to mold us by the glamorization of shoe sales.

The Shoe Industrial Complex is walking all over us.

Next you'll tell me that they are stealing our soles.

Please go into a cinema and yell fire.

Apparently you live in a curious bubble where anti-Semitic incitement has never lead to... I don't know... systematic and spontaneous violence against Jews.
If only we had a time frame to draw a conclusion about this phenomenon.
Let's say 1500.

Nah that was all fine. We are just suddenly here and there are these weird anti-Semitic canards popping into existence out of absolutely nowhere.

So weird.

It's all by design to push agendas. Divide and conquer. Push from all sides ...

Notice within 6 weeks we had attacks on a mosque, bombings of Christian churches and then of course a synagogue shooting. So all 3 major so called "Abrahamic" religions were attacked and of course they blame each other instead of who is really responsible.

Resist 100% all efforts to limit our freedoms because that's exactly what they want.
They don't blame each other - or at least the majority does not. Jews and Muslims in America are standing up for each other and that's wonderful.

With the confluence of anti-semitic speech and actual violence Danon is drawing a connection and saying that the US should recognize the relationship and not protect anti-semitic speech as per its own set of exclusions.

As long as the same standard is applies to Jews, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, socialists, capitalists etc...

Heaven forbid Jews voice their opinions when they are attacked with age old anti-Semitic canards after two Synagogues were attacked in the US.

Again, as long as the same standard is applied to hate speech of any sort whether it be anti-Semitic speech, anti-Muslim speech and so forth, we can discuss what to do.

I'm not saying I approve of hate speech in any form because I don't. The question comes about where the line is drawn where hate speech is suppressed.

And don't forget the British Crown, the Jewish bankers, the Pope, the Military
Industrial Complex, the Chemtrailers, the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, & NASA.

You forgot Chinese restaurants who are subtly drugging us in their food.
This was popular in the UK in the 60s.

Those who are concerned about real antisemitism should probably discourage the Israeli government from using accusations of such as a counter to legitimate criticisms, as "crying wolf" does them no favors.
