Israeli envoy calls for criminalizing antisemitism after NYT cartoon
Excerpted...
The only way to stop antisemitism is to criminalize it, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon told reporters in New York on Monday.

“The time for talking and having a conversation is over,” Danon said. “What Israel and the Jewish community around the world demand is action - and now."

Danon, speaking on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council meeting, said that those who engage in antisemitism "must be punished. Whether it is here at the UN [or by] political leaders, editors, policy pundits or college professors, it does not matter.

“Antisemitism should have no place in our society," he continued. "Until it becomes criminal, this bigotry will persist; it will fester. It is only a matter of time until it erupts again in violence and bloodshed."
It's all by design to push agendas. Divide and conquer. Push from all sides ...

Notice within 6 weeks we had attacks on a mosque, bombings of Christian churches and then of course a synagogue shooting. So all 3 major so called "Abrahamic" religions were attacked and of course they blame each other instead of who is really responsible.

Resist 100% all efforts to limit our freedoms because that's exactly what they want.

Antisemitism is being pushed and the whole "name the Jew, blame the Jew" crowd is growing on the internet. But, the ruling elites use it as an excuse to take our rights. It's all by design.

Refuse to play the division game and refuse to give up your rights.

I've no problem with jailing Nazis, but what Israel clearly wants is for criticism of it to be illegal. Whenever Zionists talk about anti-Semitism, what they generally mean is anti-Zionism. To them, there's no difference.
Naziś have the right of free speech as well. No harm, no foul.

Correct, we cannot infringe anyone's rights. Because who gets to decide what is acceptable? They will just lie and say that the good guys are bad. Happens every time. Your MSM is already the controlled propaganda wing of the NWO.

my little Iran fanboy.
I am not an 'Iran fanboy' by any means — I have my criticisms — but I would support them any day over the imperialist, apartheid settler-colony, ethno-state, and US puppet that is Israel.

Of course, let's just wait until the Nazis have already thrown everyone into concentration camps before we decide to do anything. That's a great idea. 'Free speech' is idealist utopianism.

Oh right ... because Hitler and the Nazis just loved free speech didn't they?

If the Nazi's had allowed free speech then everyone would have seen through their lies and so their regime would not have lasted long. This is really obvious btw ...

Freedom of speech and the right to bear arms protects people from tyranny. It couldn't be more clear from history.

Fascists have always sung the virtues of freedom and liberty during periods when they weren't in power, but of course whenever they do attain power, they always abolish free speech. This is exactly why their invocation of these liberal platitudes should not be taken seriously.

My grandparents always told me how the Red Army saved them by being funny.

Good times.

Almost as if these caricatures don't exist in a vacuum and there was some kind of attack on a Synagogue last week.

Nah that can't be it.
God I hate those entitled whiny Jews.

I'm sorry that you were brought to your knees by some dumb cartoon. Call for another nation to curtail its rights and freedoms to spare people's fee-fees, but of course those who point out what a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction this is are the unreasonable ones.

Unfortunately, you've all been socially conditioned to laugh at what they label "outrageous conspiracy theories".
If something is completely devoid of evidence and logic, it probably is a outrageous conspiracy theory. Life isn't a cartoon, son.

Quite literally every country constantly weighs in, gives comments about other countries.
Heaven forbid someone does it towards the US. Let's get the tar and feathers!

Sure thing buddy.

The notion of absolute free speech in the US is more fantasy than reality. There are a variety of types of speech that are subject to a priori restraint and are not protected. One of them is a type of speech that incites violence or is a true threat (not just generic hate speech) or constitutes "fighting words". In other countries, other forms of speech are not protected (such as holocaust denial in 16 countries.

With the confluence of anti-semitic speech and actual violence Danon is drawing a connection and saying that the US should recognize the relationship and not protect anti-semitic speech as per its own set of exclusions.

He should apply those rules in Israel.

There's some poetic irony in an Israeli demanding the US change their laws in response to a political cartoon showing Israel leading the US in terms of policy...
