It’s Time For The Catholic Church to Lead The Way

I wonder how many people would believe that ‘Jesus’ is living in the flesh on earth if the church said so? I imagine quite many. That might be something that Christians would like to think about. I think it’s time for the church to evolve with the times and the needs of the people and come out and say it instead of pussyfooting around it.

Think about it Christians. Are you blindly believing what the Church tells you? Would you switch beliefs if the Church switched? The Church always and endlessly tells you Jesus is alive. Jesus is God in the flesh. They love driving this home. They have never come out and said that ‘Jesus’ is alive in the flesh on earth today. Are they afraid they’ll lose followers? It’s like the church is gambling with people’s hearts. They see it as a win because by not telling you their followers will not dwindle. I just wish they would be more honest. I love that people follow the church, but don’t be fooled my fellow peoples.

Another thing preachers do is call other religions false. The reason they do this I think so much is because they’re so bothered by the fact that they can’t really speak the truth so that’s their way of venting. It makes them feel better when they point out other religions are false because they know deep down that their own religion is false. They’re always looking for ways to feel better. It’s kind of pathetic really.

If I were to ask non-Christians If they think what I’m saying is correct about Christians they would say no because they wouldn’t want to offend Christians. So I’ll be the bad guy and say it. lol.

I know a fair number of Christians who don't believe exactly everything 'the church' endorses.

Also, I've never met a Christian(other than perhaps yourself) that believes Jesus is living in the flesh on Earth.

And, finally, which 'church' are you talking about? There's quite a few of them, some with more varied beliefs than others.

So you think they believe that Jesus is seating at the right hand of God in heaven? I think their beliefs go much deeper even if they’re unwilling to admit it. No one wants to be called a nut. That’s why if the church leads the way it won’t be so bad. There’s protection in numbers. A lot of people think Christians are nutty anyway. Haha so why not take the next step?

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

There's this thing called "doctrine" that you may have heard of...

I have but change can be good. The concept of the Trinity was finalized at the First Council of Nicaea in 325 CE after years of debate. Also, church doctrine has changed in regards to slavery and the death penalty.

Over the past 10 years United States has lost 15 million of its followers and that’s just one country in the world. So change might be a good idea. But like I said, the church likes to gamble. They know the world will end before they lose too many followers so they’ll never come out and tell us the full truth Imo.

I think what they believe depends on whether or not they're culturally Christian, or religiously Christian. Also, which denomination they are will affect beliefs to an extent.

Many Christians leave at a young age before they’re able to fully understand the doctrine and what it actually means and its hidden meanings. The church should speak plainly.

The bishops at the council also voted on whether Jesus was equal in divinity with the Father, with 316 bishops voting in favor of this view and none voting against. The Catholic Church also anathematized those who said that Jesus did not exist before he was born, or that he was made from non-existing matter.

Today there’s 5600 Catholic bishops. I think they should all sit down and take a vote. They should be asked is our savior living on earth today in the flesh? Rather than him being in “heaven” seated at the right hand of god.

When I became Roman Catholic about 20 years ago, the death penalty was described as this:

"Technically we're not saying it's right or wrong but as it is used in the US, it is often wrong. I mean, a person should be killed if there is not a cost efficient way of keeping society safe from them but otherwise, no." I agree with that.

There are reasons given in NT verses why Jesus remains in heaven, so its written down and in canon that he is not here, at least not physically. Also in the gospels Jesus says that it will be obvious if he returns, unmistakable. I've never thought it meant anything else. They didn't just say he was in heaven but that he had to remain in heaven until certain things were complete.

I think people could do without all the fluff. I mean, they think a dead man is going to return so why not take it another step and say the dead man is already here.

Some pastors say Jesus has a physical body in heaven, but it’s different than ours. So they are getting better and closer to the truth. Lol but it’s still beating around the burning bush.

The Church does not condone or practice fake news. It does not wish to be that Liberal. If Jesus was already here and living at the Vatican that would be a different story, unless Jesus requested they keep it quiet for now.

One of the changes that was done in the Catholic Church, in an attempt make it more popular, during the Progressive 1960's-70's, was to get rid of the Latin Mass. For 1500 years the Communion part of the mass was done in Latin. Because of the Love Generation, many of which were Catholic, the Church thought it was a good idea to modernize and do that ritual part of the mass in the local languages. They even had what were called folk masses with hippies and guitar music.

It was good at first, but the change had the opposite effect in the longer term. It got rid of the Mystery that doing the mass in ancient Latin had created. It made it too Liberal accommodating, which then caused attendance to decrease. That is why female priests will not happen. If you want to see female priests go a Lutheran Evangelical Protestant Church (GCEPC) which ordained women since its inception in 2000.

Whatever the Liberals touch will go to crap, even when they were the love generation. It is best to stand clear. I was a Liberal back then, but the sentiment did not last, and then the change alienated the very people who suggested it.
