It has come to my attention, that I have not been nominated for the members choice award. This was a highly disturbing shock, on my part. So, I sat in my thinking chair, and finally, I discovered the reason why. Everybody knows that I am intrinsically superior, so I am excluded. However, upon further reflection, there were a number of problems with this theory, one of the most notable being that no RFers have been seen worshiping the ground I walked on. Thus, I had to return to my chair. After a prolonged period of thought, I realized that in actuality, I deserved higher the the Member's Choice Award, and, therefore, I was going to be selected as the Supreme Ruler of RF. However, again, I realized that this theory had some loopholes, such as, why am I not already the Supreme Ruler of RF. Again, I returned to my chair. This time, I thought even longer. After grappling with the problem for some time, I finally thought of the true cause. Everybody loves me too much to submit me to the embarrassment of nominating me! After my great feeling of satisfaction at having solved such a problem, I decided to come and tell my loyal subjects. I thank you for having such great love for me, but I do request that in the future, my slippers are brought to me earlier. For the past several months, I have retreived them myself. Thank you.

I started laughing half-way through this, and I haven't stopped. ROTFLMAO!!! The real reason for this thread is to remind people that there are a great many amazing members on RF, and that some (especially a notable few) deserve to get proper recognition. My question is specifically to Rex. Could we have multiple awards, such as "Best Avatar", "Best Signature" etc, instead of just the one? Therefore, more people would get due recognition. If this comes to pass, I'd have to say that Vigil's avatar is the best (IMHO). Gotta love old men with face paint and obscure medallions! :D

I think the only reason that more people haven't been nominated is that there was apparently a limit of 5... There's so many people that deserve the award, though.

My experience with "member of the month" awards is that the number of nominations should grow up to about 10. There will be an increase in the numbers of members voting for nominations as the award gains publicity.

I'd add you, Soul, Pah, both Carrderos, Druidus, fromtheheart, Sunstone, Lightkeeper, No*s, Michel, Ceridwen, FBI, Bastet, Maize, ... and all the ones that have already been nominated (except for myself, because I agree with Carrdero and Soul, that the best reward is RF itself). I'm sure there's a lot of people I've forgotten to add, but that's only because they aren't jumping into my head at the moment.
