Hello fellow Capitalists. It's friggin' cold out there. Any good investment ideas on stocks that are related to businesses that keep us warm?

Now's the chance to ride the tide. Any ideas?

One idea is to turn your retirement into a permanent vacation. Some are saying we are going into a cycle of long term global cooling. Whatever. But some are thinking to escape the cold by vacationing in warmer areas. But Mexico is increasingly becoming frowned upon due to a culture of corruption and the drug cartels amok. Los Angeles is also becoming frowned upon for the same reason as it is tranformed into Mexico, there are concerns that resorts in SoCal may soon become a dangerous destination. But what about other areas of the US and the world?

What about travel agencies that focus on vacations to safe and warm vacation spots that are also fun and full of interesting culture to explore? And ... there is now an increasing industry that focuses on assisting those who want to relocate both within the US and abroad as part of a retirement agenda? What about condo biz in those areas?

Invest in natural gas? Burlington Coat Factory? Zippo Hand Warmers? Electric blankets?

Think.

I speculate that gas powered heat pumps have a future. You can get a coefficient of performance (COP) which more than doubles the heat from work done by the engine, & the waste heat is also used as heat. Think of it as getting better than 100% efficiency out of the fuel! (Note: That's economic rather then thermodynamic efficiency.)
