I hope so also. I have high hopes, and will keep hoping till he posts. The article didn't give me the impression most of the land was devestated, but then, it was an English article about a foreign land, and we know how that goes :(.

The quake happened about 10 minutes ago. My ears perked up when I heard it on TV because of Meogi. Does anyone remember what part of Japan he's going to school in?

A 7 magnitude is a big quake. We had a 6.5 a few years ago in Seattle and I wouldn't like to try a 7. Damage depends on how well the buildings are built. Japan has a lot of quakes so they may have specially structured their buildings. You can build them on structures that allow the building to rock and roll.
