The closest thing I have to any Japanese groups are Dragon Force which has an Asian guitarist (not sure from which country though), and Chthonic, who are from Taiwan.

Herman Li, Hong Kong born raised in England I think. Their other guitarist is a Kiwi from Hamilton.

I have some Japanese Artist I like, in fact most are Pop, Japanese is really the only language I'll listen to pop in.

Boa Kwon is one of my Favorites though not Japanese(she's Korean), a lot of her songs are in Japanese.
