Japanese IQ test

SoyLeche

meh...
This is a Japanese IQ test.
See if you could do this and time your self. Read the rules, and THEN click on the link below

The rules are:

This is going hurt your head, but it can be done. I've worked it out.

For those of you who are not going to even understand the rules (you
know who you are) get someone to explain them to you.

Apparently this is an IQ test given to job applicants in Japan:
"Everybody has to cross the river".

The following rules apply:

Only 2 persons on the raft at a time

The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's
presence

The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's
presence

The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the
Policeman is not there

Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the
raft

To start, click on the big blue circle on the right.

To move the people click on them. To move the raft click on the pole on
the opposite side of the river.

Hurt head... hmmm

under 3 mins, and upset at that  :149: Made some stupid mistakes.

Edit: In all honesty I have to question the claim that this is an IQ test that Japanese companies use in the hiring process...

Never mind that, my dad told me his job did something similar... He had 12 mins almost to a second.

Soy,

Do you know how the times are ranked?

I have no idea - this was emailed to me, and I missed the line about timing yourself, so I don't know exactly how long it took me - somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes. Maybe Nutshell or FFH can translate the page for us and find something....

Hi, soyleche. Si yo soy carne. As to your IQ test, for you to belittle anyone as to if they can understand the rules is funny. In NewYork City the same test is called the the chicken, the feed and the fox and it is a little kids test like in the first grade. I can't believe that you have the nerve to even try and belittle some one it takes about two seconds. Here to make it easy for you it is a very simple process of taking two leaving one going back leaving that one taking another two leaving the one and bring back the one that was left and so on till they are all across. Oh ya I' old so we had different teachers then. Here is another first grade test if ti takes 3 min. to boil one egg how many does it take to boil 3 eggs? HAHA . If you were sirious about this being hard? In that case be nice you might not be so smart.

It was an email that I recieved and copied word for word - but if you want to be offended, that's your deal.

Here's another one -- let's see if I can explain it well or not.

4 people escape from prison. They come to an old, rickety bridge across a deep gully. The only way across the gully is to use the bridge. The bridge can only support 2 people at a time. The prisoners have only one flashlight, which they need in order to cross the bridge. Throwing the flashlight back to the other side is out of the question.

Prisoner #1 can get across the bridge in 1 minute
Prisoner #2 can get across the bridge in 2 minutes
Prisoner #3 can get across the bridge in 5 minutes
Prisoner #4 can get across the bridge in 10 minutes

When 2 people are crossing at the same time, they can only go as fast as the slowest of them (i.e. 1 and 4 together take 10 minutes, etc).

They have 17 minutes before the police catch up to them. How do they all get across the bridge.

This one is slightly more complicated than the one you are talking about. Did you actually try it, or just assume that since you have seen something similar it must be the same?

Hi, soy leche. hablas Espanol? I'm sorry for what I said It is just that your attemp to elevate yourself and the attempt to belittle was to much. But yes it is alittle more difficult just because there are more players. but it is still the same. But to give you your props. it is not that easy for some but if you are use to thinking in this way it is easy. But we all are not the same some people that could not do this could take a car appart and put it back together does that make you stupid if you can't NO. IQ tests are fun. But not all think in that way. does it make them stupid? once again NO. Does it make me smart because I can do them?NO there was a test do in NYC years ago about some kids with high IQ' no very high all over 140 out of the tenn only one I think even could hold down a job. Afew were in prison one mental hospital. IQ tests are fun but are mostly common sence with a twist

Hi again, It is still the same principle
There is a little button on the bottom right of each post that says "Quote" - you really ought to start using it. It makes a conversation much easier to follow.

why dont they just leave prisoner 4 behind, then they will get across with 9 minutes to spare, and they wont be slowed down by some idiot who takes 10 minutes to cross a freaking bridge!

Because he's the one that knows where the treasure is buried :)

cool, supply and demand. Then prisoner #3 gets left behind, and prisoner 1 and 2 pick that lazy slow *** #4 up and rush him off to the treasure.

But #3 is the only one that knows the combination to the safe when they get to where #4 hid the treasure.

Are you really going to make me make up roles for all 4 of them? Just work the problem out - there is a solution. :)
