Jesus: Gnosticism?!

One of our friends here in the thread http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/religious-debates/128317-jesus-gnosticism.html wants to know if Jesus had originated Gnostic Christianity.

Jesus was a Jew and as such a follower of Moses al-right; he had perhaps some friendship with the Essene Brethren as I get from the following:

THE CRUCIFIXION
BY AN EYEWITNESS

I understand that Essene Brethren played a role in saving Jesus' life from the injuries inflicted on the Cross, please refer page-6 of the above; but I don’t know if the Essene were Gnostic or not.

I know little about Gnosticism and what it stands for.

Some Jewish Christians were called Gnostic like Cerinthus, and I think my beliefs are close to what his were. Maybe that's why all the ladies at the clubs kept trying to grab me.

Well I think all the early Gnostics came from Israel. I reject the notion that it came from Egypt or Greece or it's some sort of hybrid of Christianity and Buddhism. It originated in Israel. There were both Jewish and Samaritan Gnostics.

When Jesus came to India after having been saved from a cruel death on the Cross, most Israelite Buddhists accepted him as Buddha had prophesied for coming of a Bagwa Metteyya; hence teachings of Jesus and Buddha came to be mixed up.

So... how 'bout those butt pictures you were going to post, dearest?

But seriously, how do you defend your position?

Jesus, when he migrated from Judea to India, he boosted or refreshed Buddha's concepts; they share one source Word revealed from the one true creator God.

Jesus was a narcissistic and very bigoted Jewish man. I highly doubt he would be the follower of any unclean gentiles, let alone go traipsing about a country full of them.

That character of Jesus has been painted by cunning Paul and the sinful scribes of the NT; it has nothing to do with real Jesus who humbly followed Moses.

There never existed any unclean gentiles; it is the sinful scribes who wrote such biased things.

Buddha, Krishna and Jesus had to forgo their narcissism before they could be recipients of Word from the one true God Allah YHWH.

There is plenty of evidence that "Gnosticism" was a Jewish movement/cult and that it later developed trappings of the gentile world such as Neoplatonism. Some seem to say it was a form of Proto-Kabbalah even.

Now personally I'd be more interested to see the face to match those lips...assuming those are her lips.

Well he did teach his disciples to avoid the gentiles....

But I don't know about "narcisisttic", bigoted yes, but bigoted doesn't mean something bad necessarily, it's an emotional buzz word that basically means "Someone who takes a stand and doesn't tolerate opposition to such", technically anyone with a firm opinion is a bigot. I proudly call myself a bigot since I don't tolerate or entertain Gentile "Christian" interpretations of Christianity for example.

Out of curiosity, which Nag Hammadi texts do you go by, Cypher? There's quite a few that I consider valid, and even Clement and others considered some valid.

So Jesus would have had some of this gnostic influence?
