Jesus in Japan????

Rice would certainly feed the poor in Japan. It fits into "what Christ would do". And apparently the whole thing was documented.

I find this interesting, becasue Jesus said He had 'other sheep'. He could have visited them during His absence after His resurrection, and perhaps this is what came out of it.

I honestly don't know what to make of it; Google "Jesus in Japan", and the first threee pages of hits refer to this story you have poated, as well as other theories.

One of the more mysterious ones is here:-

According to the account in the Christ Museum next to the tombs, Christ arrived in Japan at the age of 21 and learnt Japanese before returning to Judaea 12 years later to engage in his mission and preach about the “holy land of Japan”. The official Shingo history is that Jesus’s place on the Cross was “casually” taken by his brother, leaving Christ free to return to Japan. On his return he fell in love with Miyuko, a local girl, and lived happily with his family among the rice fields until dying aged 106. :areyoucra

There is another article from:-http://www.onlinecatholics.com.au/issue95/commessay2.php

About 16 years ago controversy arose over a film, The Last Temptation of Christ, which showed the Saviour taken down, alive, from the cross, to be cared for by Mary Magdalene, who marries him and dies bearing his child. Christ then enters into a polygamous union with Mary (sister of Martha) and Martha herself. Children from this relationship are shown playing in the dust, while Christ plies his trade as a carpenter nearby. Interestingly, some viewers warmed to this picture of domesticity, and got quite angry when I criticised it in the pages of the Sydney Morning Herald. It was to lead me down some strange byways of religious belief, including the discovery of a handful of religious groups who – possibly from a subconscious wish to avoid the horrors of the crucifixion – really do believe that Christ’s “cup” of suffering was lifted and that he married, raised several children, travelled extensively, and died of nothing more severe than old age.:areyoucra

Then there is:- http://www.thiaoouba.com/tomb.htm

In 1935, Kiyomaro Takeuchi discovered 1900 year old document stored in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, containing evidence, that Jesus (Joshua) born in Bethlehem to virgin Mary is buried in Herai Village in Aomori district of Japan. The document contained also Jesus will, requesting that his brother's tomb to be located next to his. The document was SO authentic and news so explosive at the time, that the Japanese government banned the document from public view and kept it locked in a museum in Tokyo. During World War II Tokyo was severely bombed and the museum with all documents was allegedly destroyed. Luckily, Takeuchi family made copies of the document before surrendering it to officials. Copies preserved by the Takeuchi family survived to this day.

I guess if we ever find Alienson some distant planet, there will be a claim to Jesus having visited the planet whils on holiday...........

I'm waiting for the thread where someone claims the new born son of Princess Kiko of the Japanese Royal family is a reincarnation of Christ...:D

As for Jesus living there post-Ressurection, sure, why not? Some in India make a similar claim though, and have a burial site for pilgrims too. Who knows?

I guess anything is within the realm of possibility. There is a lot of time unaccounted for in the Gospel accounts of Jesus life.
