Jesus is not god

You were probably praying to Jesus, he doesn't answer prayers, only God in Heaven does.

Yes, Christianity as I was taught said the only way to the father was through the son. I've since outgrown that, mindless, dogmatic belief does not suit me at all.

What exactly did you obey of what Jesus said?

You're going to go the "you weren't a true Christian" route I see. Not interested. Christianity had its chance with me and it didn't stick. I didn't lose my faith because I'm a sin lover. I didn't lose my faith because god/jesus/holy spirit didn't give me the love and attention I wanted. I didn't lose my faith because something bad happened and I blamed god for it. I lost my faith because the bible and what it claims does not mesh with reality. That's it.

I believe Jesus, and that is no matter about what you say. Unless of course, you know God's Truth and reject Him anyway.

If you did everything that Jesus says, he would reveal himself to you.

We are to watch our lives and our doctrines closely. You do not want to answer how closely you watched these things.

1 Timothy 4:6 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

God's "Truth" can mean anything, just depends on what you want to cherry pick from the bible and how you interpret it.

I know this game and I am not interested in playing. You assume from your experiences that if people do as you have done they will be filled with the spirit and live happily ever after. You assume wrong. I can describe in detail how I gained, practiced, and lost my faith to you, but why bother? You will simply decide I was found wanting by doing something/not doing something and say "Ha! you did it wrong!". Tell me, why does a person have to play an elaborate game of hide and seek while jumping through hoops to be saved by a being that claims to truly love them in the first place?! If your god is so concerned with humanities salvation why on earth would he go about dealing with people in such mysterious and petty ways? The god of the bible is a being who seems to desperately want to be worshipped but is going to send people who don't believe in his existence (because he actively hides his existence from them) to hell to suffer for all eternity. On top of that most present day Christians present the god of the bible as a loving, generous, and forgiving god which directly contradicts what is plainly written in the bible.

1 Timothy 4:6 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Why are you quoting bible verses to someone who thinks the bible is a work of fiction?

(1.) I asked you if you believe we humans have spirits. Do you believe we do?

(2.) As for you saying that Jesus is not the Holy Spirit, and did not receive the Holy Spirit until his baptism. Consider this...Jesus gave Elizabeth the Holy Spirit when he was still in his mother's womb.

Luke 1:41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

(1.) Already answered. Not of the religions of Abraham. I don't believe in your spirit. I believe in evolution.

(2.) Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

Jesus did not give Elizabeth the Holy Spirit.

I suggest you think about this in a more complete sense. In John 1 we are told that ALL bodies have life by the addition of the fructifying Spirit. GOT THAT? ALL!

Then it goes on to tell us the first is JOHN THE BAPTIST.

John the Baptist is the Baby in Elizabeth's womb when she is filled with the Holy Spirit. So - Mary, Elizabeth, and John, are all filled with the Holly Spirit.

Jesus is supposedly sent as the Messiah, a special human.

Matthew 1:18-25 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child by the Holy Ghost. (By God's POWER! Not a third being.)

Matt 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

He is NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT! He receives it's/God's power, for his task!

John 5:30 - I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

It sounds as if you have created for yourself your own god, by picking and choosing from the Bible, and by disgracing and throwing away. You created your own god, which is no god.

LOL! More Red-herrings!

Everything I posted, - except the contemporary quote, - is straight from the Bible.

SO - try again! LOL!

A myth can't reveal himself to anyone.

You need to get off the smug rug, as you are being proved WRONG - over-and-over, and realize other people do NOT believe as you do, - and you have absolutely NO proof of your Deity, and what you want us to believe!

LOL! Yep! The "No True Scotsman" Fallacy.

They often use it when they can't logically rebut the rebuttal.

God's "Truth" can mean anything, just depends on what you want to cherry pick from the bible and how you interpret it.
Then it isn’t God’s Truth.
I know this game and I am not interested in playing. You assume from your experiences that if people do as you have done they will be filled with the spirit and live happily ever after. You assume wrong.
YOU are the one assuming!
…Because God’s Truth matters.
Just listen to yourself, you show that you could not even do one of the first things we have to do---and yet, you claim you obeyed Jesus. Listen to yourself; you are not even humble in the slightest. You said, “Tell me, why does a person have to play an elaborate game…”
When I was in this one religion, a guy told me I was in a false religion, and he told me to say a prayer aloud to God through Jesus. He told me to ask God for forgiveness for following falseness. I told the guy that it would be strange to ask for forgiveness for getting involved in a false religion---while I was only searching Him.
The guy told me to just do it any way then; he said what will it hurt? I am so glad I didn’t want to be rude to him. I am so glad that I could humble myself and say the prayer. After that, things really started to come together in a major way.

You do not even fear God. Salvation is near those who fear Him. You are not even careful about saying the wrong thing out of ignorance.
Why are you quoting bible verses to someone who thinks the bible is a work of fiction?
I can and do speak about the Bible to many.

Yes

Oh how I love the Word of God!
Already answered. Not of the religions of Abraham.
That is not answering the question. Many people believe we have spirits, and they are not of the Abraham religions.
I don't believe in your spirit. I believe in evolution.
You don’t believe in my spirit? What is that supposed to mean?
Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

Jesus did not give Elizabeth the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the one who gives the Holy Spirit.

No one is given the Holy Spirit until Jesus accepts them and gives them the Holy Spirit.
Then it goes on to tell us the first is JOHN THE BAPTIST.

John the Baptist is the Baby in Elizabeth's womb when she is filled with the Holy Spirit. So - Mary, Elizabeth, and John, are all filled with the Holly Spirit.
Just believe what the scripture says.
Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
Do not lean to the left or to the right of God’s Word.
See Deuteronomy 5:32.

I have already given you scripture that says Jesus is the Holy Spirit.

ING - Obviously your religions idea of a spirit.

*

Jesus is the one who gives the Holy Spirit.

ING - As already shown - he IS GIVEN the power to do so by God, at his baptism. It does NOT say he gave it in the Elizabeth verse.

*

No one is given the Holy Spirit until Jesus accepts them and gives them the Holy Spirit.

ING - Will that is BULL, as Elizabeth gets it before his birth.

*

Just believe what the scripture says.
Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
Do not lean to the left or to the right of God’s Word.
See Deuteronomy 5:32.

ING - LOL! YOU are adding to scripture! It does NOT say Jesus caused this!

*
I have already given you scripture that says Jesus is the Holy Spirit.

Give it again as I didn't see it.

Matt 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

LOL! BULL! DUDE!

I gave verses straight from the Bible and YOU said this -

Yes said:
It sounds as if you have created for yourself your own god, by picking and choosing from the Bible, and by disgracing and throwing away. You created your own god, which is no god.

YOU are posting Red-Herrings - trying to throw off the rebuttal.

If you don't like what I have posted - then REBUT it!

YOU are the one declaring things that ARE NOT IN THE BIBLE!

Such as a trinity.

Just listen to yourself, you show that you could not even do one of the first things we have to do---and yet, you claim you obeyed Jesus. Listen to yourself; you are not even humble in the slightest.

Thank you for playing the "you weren't a real Christian" card just as I predicted you would. I'll remind you again that you don't know me now let alone back when I was a Christian. Also, aren't Christians not supposed to pass judgment on others?

Yes

Oh how I love the Word of God!

You are wrong. The Bible even says plainly that Jesus is the Spirit.

Jesus is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is a life giving Spirit, see 1 Corinthians 15:45 So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.

Did you read that scripture? That scripture says Jesus is a SPIRIT.

This scripture says the Spirit gives life; see 2 Corinthians 3:6. Jesus gives life! John 5:21.

Read this scripture:

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

That scripture SAYS the Lord is the Spirit.

Jesus is the Spirit. Revelation 2:7, 8, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22; 14:13; 22:17 all tell us Jesus is the Spirit.

The sword of the Spirit is the word of God see Ephesians 6:17 “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

The SWORD is the Word of God. Jesus is the word of God. See John 1:1.

The SWORD is Jesus the WORD OF GOD.

Jesus’ name is the Word of God, see Revelation 19:13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Jesus is the Word of God, and Jesus is the sword.

Jesus is the sword of the Holy Spirit. Revelation 19:15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

Jesus is the Rider and the sword is coming from him.

The Rider is Jesus, and the sword is Jesus, and the sword belongs to the Rider, the sword belongs to the Spirit.

The Rider is the Spirit.

Jesus is the Rider. Jesus is the Spirit. Jesus is the Word of God; Jesus is the Sword.
