Christians, how often do you take Eucharist/Communion/Lord's Supper and what do you believe theologically about it?

In the churches I've been in about the most frequent was once a month.
Theologically it's a remembrance of Jesus's sacrifice.
I believe it should be taken with great reverence and prayer...the big question everyone always asks is whether the body and the blood are symbolic or literal. I believe it's literal in a spiritual sense but not in a physical sense.

Wow. Spiritually literal but physically not literal. Is that called "sitting on the fence"/ Or just can't decide? The bread absolutely does not change. It is symbolic. Let's say you draw a map and put an "X" and say "This is the gas station on Main Street." The "X" absolutely is not a gas station. It represents a gas station on the map. When Jesusa said "this is my body" he was saying it represented his body for purposes of the observance. Nothing changed physically.

My home church doesn't take communion very often in the year. I believe communion is a time to remember Jesus death on the cross to pay for sin.
It can be a time to show gratitude for what Jesus did. Some people may confess their wrongs before communion. I believe it is alright to confess one's sins before communion though I believe it can be taken too far . Coming from the perspective of someone who has OCD , communion used to be a trigger for me. I have more of the perspective now during communion of remembering Christ's sacrifice for me and that he does forgive me rather than putting my main focus on what wrong things I have done.

As I just said, it isn't a physical reality but a spiritual one.

Not very often. But, I think it was the sign or seal of the new covenant that was done trough Jesus. Every time person takes part of it, he basically confirms the new covenant and takes part of it.

Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
Luke 22:20

When Moses did the previous covenant, it had animal flesh and blood of animals. In the new covenant the flesh and blood are the bread and wine. And in that way they are similar.
