Jesus' wickedness

In another thread, someone suggested that Jesus has commanded his people to do some wicked things. I'd be interested to know which of his specific commands (which, in context, are commands that he expects his community to follow as part of their way of life) some of you might consider to be wicked.

There was a great crowd of people.....most of them were still on the level of animals.
They were absolutely not able to understand Jesus when He spoke about heaven and the higher purpose of life.
So He used this wicked words ...to get them lose.

Wow, this is the most unintelligible thread ever. Let me try to refocus it a tad.

Had Jesus ever commanded his people to do wicked things? If so, what are they? This is for interest only. I don't plan to "correct" anyone's "misapprehensions" about what the bible says or anything.

I'd really like to chime in here but the last time I quoted the Bible and what Jesus said I got a ration of crap and was told I didn't know what I was talking about and I couldn't just quote this or that. Needless to say if I can't quote the Bible and I am supposed to decipher what it says and turn it to something meaningful and good..... well, I don't know what to say I'd really like to answer your question but I don't want to hurt anyones feelings or start a peeing contest. If you would like a list of not nice para-quotes from Jesus (as we he himself actually never wrote anything) PM me and I would be happy to share a list with you.

My purpose in this thread is not to browbeat anyone. I'm just interested to know what exactly people think Jesus commanded that was evil. So I don't much care whether you can cite chapter and verse or anything. If you'd like to discuss those passages, I'd be happy to do so, but I'll do so only at your invitation. That said, PM sent.

My comment:

Those who condemned Jesus were probably considered the most erudite, literate and professional class of their day...In their view maybe some of Jesus teachings were "wicked".. He did suggest destroying the Temple and He drove the money changers and those who sold animals for sacrifices so maybe in their view it was "wicked".

By the way Henk who is the "Nathanael" mentioned on your site???

Matthew 5-27

27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[e] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

O.K. Thanks for your reply Henk.

So who has verified that?

Or where is it located?

Was it "channelled" or something apocryphal?

If there's a book that claims to be written by Nathanael, I've never heard of it.

If Jesus had ever commanded his disciples to do something evil, I think a red flag would have gone off in my head when I read it. However, that doesn't mean that people haven't done evil things 'in Jesus' name' (which usually means, invoking a higher power as an artificial authority) that contradicts his teachings.

Jesus's greatest teaching was that we must love others. I imagine that even if Jesus had commanded 'evil things', they would be in contradiction to this important basis for his ministry.

Again here are the ""wicked"" words that Jesus spoke

Matthew 5-27

27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[e] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. Nathanael is giving us a further explanation:

Jesus tells about His life on earth 014

Jesus tells about His life on earth 015

Okay, but I'm looking for Jesus' wicked sayings, not Nathanael's "explanation." What do you see that is wicked in these verses, Henk? Instead of referring us to some rant somewhere, why not give me a summary of the wickedness you see there?

I do not see any wickedness in what Jesus is telling us because I understand it very well ....but some do not understand it and say ....what is this for a wicked teaching.....
Those who reakt in this way are pure worldly persons ....only seeking for material possesions and pleassures.
Those are not ready for the lessons that Jesus is giving.
