Just in: RNC votes to ban CNN and NBC from debates.

Just saw on CNN that the RNC went ahead and voted to ban NBC and CNN from their debates based on proposed biographies to be aired by those networks on Hillary Clinton.

What do you think of this action?

Personally, I can see it coming back to bite them (RNC) in the ***.

Yeah, hard to see how that would be a well-thought-out idea. Cutting out two of the more popular networks could cause a lot of problems, and is a move that is most likely only be favored by a portion the base. Seems to me it could work to disenfranchise a significant portion of Republicans and a large number of independents.

Of course the RNC can do as it pleases.

My question is, how will this affect the viewing of the GOP primaries and if Fox Entertainment wins the production of one of these biographies, should we expect the RNC to expand it's ban to FOX?

I think it's a great idea.

Obviously those liberal networks are actively promoting Hillary.

Therefore, they really aren't journalists and are just serving as democrat propoganda institutions.

I think that we should be able to expect it, but it would most likely never happen. If Fox were to to have a hand in it I would expect it to either use a proxy to carry out the production or for it to be kept very quiet.

The RNC and Fox have enjoyed far too good a relationship over the last decade for it to die over this.

Let's see.

NBC (Not MSNBC) is doing a dramatic biography on it's entertainment network. Fox Entertainment is in talks to produce this dramatic biography.
CNN is doing a documentary.

No information is currently available on the scripts of content of either.
The earliest projected airing date for either is 2015.

Sounds like the RNC just throwing a childish temper tantrum.

Reince keeps stepping in it. This time he didn't even see it coming. Poor Reince, a man with zero integrity.

I agree. It will come back to bit them in the you-know-where. But, for God's sake, what is so horrible about a biography on Hilary Clinton?

Perhaps they imagine a prez campaign puff piece wherein she saves drowning puppies, suffers Bill's philandering heroically, stoically balances career & mothering, saves the world with brilliant diplomacy, & still manages to run marathons to support breast cancer research.

The ironic part about this, if it hasn't been mentioned yet, is that the biography was going to be produced by Fox company (at least that was the speculation)....So I'm not exactly sure what these guys are upset at....:areyoucra

But Priebus said Sunday that despite reports that a Fox company might be brought in to actually produce the Clinton mini-series, the his boycott would not extend to Fox News Channel.

Yep, he stepped in it because he came up with this stupid idea before Fox studio stepped in. You can't fix stupid (GOP). Vote them all out and let's start fresh.

I guess the Republican's slide will continue, as it seems they've learned nothing about the American people after their recent losses.

Just like Obama's book release in 2006, this is definitely a puff piece (as Rev stated).

I don't think there's doubt in anybody's mind Hillary is being groomed to become the first female President. At least I can tell my daughter she can become President someday, but....Hillary?

Anyhoo, about the OP...

The RNC keeps shooting itself in the foot with moves like this. If they wish to find a way to capture moderates toward Republican candidates, pulling the plug on two major networks won't be winning them votes. All it does is further insulate more right-wing voters and Republican candidates from the rest of the population.

Yep...I want a decentmixture of logically thinking dems, pubs (moderates), independents....and yes..Libertarians. Just not that fake wannabe "libertarian" Rand Paul. Priebus is a joke. He stepped out there wanting ban certain news agencies, which might be his prerogative, but it kills the notion that he would ever stand for free speech.

Yeah, how many autopsies and reboots can they do before they realize it's their Archie Bunker mentality that's turning most Americans off...!?!....

Though I do doubt it's "just" a temper tantrum.

They've probably been trying to find some pretense to ban any network besides Fox for a while now, and they decided that this one fit the bill:" Look! look! They are doing a documentary on Clinton therefore there is no way they can be objective! This proves what we've been saying all along!" And their base will eat it up.

It's a game of Russian Roulette. Hillary, Rand Paul, Cruz (McCarthy lite), Rubio, Christie (the outcast).....

Now..how do their policies stack up. That's what interest me.
