2 big things when chatting on the internet:
1) Use appropriate language. On RF that would be proper sentences, spelt correctly. Elsewhere it might be more appropriate to use leet or internet slang.
2) Remember tone is not conveyed very well so avoid sarcasm and use emotions (or smilies) to express your feelings such as wehn you are joking etc.
Other than that just read the forum rules and make sure you stick to them since some forums are stricter than others and it might get you banned if you don't. Have a good time here!
