Kamala Harris. Who do you think her VP pick will be.

Who do you think, want, hope, wish, etc etc she will pick as her VP and why do you want them.

No poll and no list offered. State your own.

I'd like the democrats to actively claim the title of the Conservative Party, looking to conserve the constitution, democracy, the peaceful transfer of power and separation of church and state. To that end, if women weren't such a challenge to the status quo I'd like to see Liz Cheney run as VP for the new Conservative Party.

At the same time they should retain the title of the party in favor of smart progress. Not legislating controversial, poorly supported positions. In that they should speak out against "wokism" and point out that it is actually the Republican Party which is pushing Proect 2025 to further erode constitutional wisdom to hold the stance which actually guarantees the right to worship in accord with ones own tradition.

Well this time around she won't be a puppet president, so she'll need a puppet vice president that she can control herself.

Unlike Biden who couldn't even give orders to his VP anyways, to where she ignored him and just did whatever the hell she wanted to which was pretty much nothing other than complaining that people didn't stand when she entered a room.

Do you feel the need to bring this kind of rhetoric to every thread or is it just an automatic response you have built in to yourself?

The governor of PA, Shapiro, is popular and smart. Since the Ds need to win PA, I think he would be a good choice. Or maybe Manchin, the fossil fuel loving jerk from WV. He has quite a bit of support from centrists and independents.

Maybe she'll appoint the first Venezuelan-born illegal migrant to be her VP. It would be a great testament to her time as Border Czar. Most importantly, it would be a good DEI pick.

No, not Manchin. You can't underestimate how much that guy is hated by the left. He will lose more votes than he wins.

Shapiro is a definite maybe. As you say he is popular in Pennsylvania, but not to well known in the rest of the country, which means he doesn't have that much baggage.

Do you think Shapiro would beat Vance in a debate? I don't know. But perhaps that doesn't even matter. Assuming Harris gets the nomination (which I kind of am) it is all about Harris vs Trump.

Ya call it as its seen. In that case I don't think you are the normal republican. I think you are a MAGA, just in denial.
Well you'll be quite happy to know that I made a promise not to vote for Trump this year, not that my vote would matter anyways in the People's Republic of New York.

I regret making that promise but I'm going to keep my word so everybody is safe from my itty bitty vote for one election cycle.

Only reason why I'm siding with Trump is the thought of the alternative , and what it's going to do to this country.

At least Trump during his first round as president, did a pretty damn good job on several fronts that gives me some headwind that pretty much he's just going to pick up where he left off if he wins the election. Provided of course he lives long enough to see the election, and even as far as the inauguration and even forward after that.

The fact that Manchin is hated by the left (including left-wing Christian socialists like me - though I actually 'hate' no one) is the whole point. The Ds need to win over some moderates and independents. The left will support Harris/vote against Trump no matter what. IMHO

Obama wants an open nominating process. He has a lot of clout.
What does the see that others don't?

It will happen easily. All of them loath Trump and will fall in line. IMHO
They usually do. Democrats aren't known for independent thinking, which made the whole episode of so many democrats demanding Biden drop out while others wanted him to stay in so entertaining. Even now, many dems hate Harris. I can hardly wait for that to play out.
