Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak

Kanye West's last album, Graduation really moved from Hip-Hop into his own made genre, it was quite strange from how he rapped to this sort of stuff.

Now this one, its even MORE different! Him actually rapping (which is what he used to do) is not so apparent anymore. It is almost like it is a techno thing, with his voice being altered to almost sound melidous every track. It is a little strange, and i do not like it too much. And i like Kanye West a lot.

So, KW if you are reading this, stick to what you know best!

My rating is a 6 1/2/10

Most grown-ups do. I just think i prefer when he used to rap, he sounder so much more normal then. I think he is just going with it because he is appealing to a more grown-up audience. He isn't what he used to be. I used to absolutely love his rap, it wasn't like 50 Cent (who is a complete ****head) who just rapped about getting shot and stabbed and living...

He wasa good rapper and didn't rap about ******** all the time. It seemed like he cared about real things, but now its just singing on random topics, half the time i have no clue what he is saying.

I have heard of him, but he sounds like a guy who sits on a bar stool with a guitar, mic to his mouth and sings about televisions. I do not like!

I betcha there are very few people in the UK who have even HEARD of him.
I betcha there are very few people over the age of 18 who haven't heard of him. Believe it or not, Dylan's use of free association lyrics laid some of the groundwork for hip-hop. Dylan was a major influence on one of the pioneers of rap/hip-hop, Kurtis Blow. He even sang on several of Blow's tracks in the mid-80s.

Did he write lyrics for Dr.Dre? :biglaugh:

(I am not ridiculing what you wrote there, that is actually pretty interesting)
