Like @Father Heathen said, it isn't weaponization to use a long standing institution established to enforce the law as it was designed to do. The only one who has attempted to corrupt institutions to punish enemies and favor friends is Trump himself and his cronies. I don't know why you can't see this except of course we all are wired to view the world in ways that conform to our experience. That doesn't give anyone a pass who actually breaks the law as Trump has clearly done with the classified documents he stole from the country.

I go with Prof. Turley on this document thing. Trump made it all too easy to get himself prosecuted on this one. I guess what disturbs me is what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? The evidence is damning, and the man has a long history of being a dishonest, underhanded con. You can't blame people for wanting a stubborn turd to finally be flushed.

And on that note if there is any substantial evidence that Biden, Hillary, or whoever committed any crimes, then by all means pursue justice, but enough with the bull**** conspiracy theory witch hunts.

Do you think it being a 'document thing' makes it not an espionage thing, or can't the mishandling of classified documents represent a real liability to the country. Real liabilities to our security deserve to be protected by law, and no one is above the law.

I find Trump to be the most vile person in this country. "Lock her up!" "Grab them by the *****!" "Russia if you're listening ..." So if he ends up getting locked up over this and becomes some other inmates *****, I'd call that just desserts. Not that that would ever happen unless someone were elected to the presidency who was willing to act like a banana republic dictator like the guy you admire so much.
