King David on his Death Bed: Question

Hello. First, I wanted to apologize for creating a thread just for this question, but I did do my research in Kings, Samuel, and the Chronicles.

Anyways a few months ago I heard a pastor from Calvary Chapel on the radio say that David on his death bed was still bothered that Shimei cursed him. He said David told his son Solomon to get revenge. I would like to find these passages, and if you can help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

If you did indeed read Kings, it's odd that you did not come across this verse:
"And remember, you have with you Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite from Bahurim, who called down bitter curses on me the day I went to Mahanaim. When he came down to meet me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the LORD: 'I will not put you to death by the sword.' But now, do not consider him innocent. You are a man of wisdom; you will know what to do to him. Bring his gray head down to the grave in blood."

1 Kings 2:8-9
And I am not so sure that it was the cursing itself that bothered him, but the lack of loyalty. Hence why David, even though he chose to not put him to death, did not fully trust Shimei. And told Solomon to not trust him either.
