In another thread "Youngest Gay kiss ever in T.V. History" the discussion turned to musings on children kissing in general and reflections about one's first kiss . . .or not.
This got me to thinking; when was your first kiss and what were the circumstances?

My first, and most memorable, kiss was with Mary Ellen Miller of Flint Michigan---years and years ago. She and her mother and younger sister, and I and my family (mom and dad, and brother) were visiting Washington D.C. for a few days and both her family and mine were staying at the same motel. We got to know each other pool side after sightseeing hours, and one evening decided to go for a walk. It started out normally enough, but it wasn't too long before I found myself holding hands with her. "Good grief, a girl wanted to hold hands with Me!!" (I was 12 years old and going into seventh grade in the fall) After walking and talking awhile it eventually turned dark and we decided to turn around and head back, but just before we reached the motel we stopped and I kissed her and she kissed me back. Zoweeee! I bet it took me hours before I fell asleep that night. The next day each family went their separate way. However, just before leaving we exchanged addresses, and after returning home she and I corresponded by letter for several months until our "relationship" finally died out. So if you're out there reading this, Mary Ellen Miller of Flint Michigan, please know that you made my summer.
