Thought I might try an article and see how I go. This is disgraceful.

Second youth charged over kitten torture

Two people have now been charged with aggravated cruelty, over the alleged torture of a kitten at a western Sydney railway station last week.

Yesterday police released security camera images of the incident at Seven Hills train station to the media.

Last night an 18-year-old Tregear man was arrested at St Mary's police station in Sydney's west, he was questioned and charged and will appear in Blacktown local court next month.

Police spokeswoman Wendy Valois says a second person has now been charged.

"A 15-year-old male was arrested at his Old Toongabbie home last night and taken to Blacktown police station where he was questioned by police," she said.

"He was charged with committing an act of aggrevated cruelty on an animal and is due to appear in Cobbham Childrens Court on the February 15."

Another 15-year-old boy was questioned and released without charged.

Police say he will be subject to youth conferencing.

Hey Soul,

It seems almost like more than just coincidence that FyreBrigidIce posted a thread wich relates, to the same 'Malaise' of some of the youth of today; and it probably isn't just the youth!
I would punish this kid by making him do 'community service' in a home for stray cats, as well as the councelling. Same answer as to FyreBrigidIce's thread.:tsk:

Torture of animals is a marker for serial killers.
I have read that too. That there was a high correlation between captured serial killers and those captured serial killers who concurred that they tortured animals (mostly pets).

Hey Soul,

A worry? of course it is; but why does it happen? What can we all do to change things? - we are all responsible for trying to make the world a better place!!:help:

The authorities did. They were arrested. But one has to wonder. That behavior didn't come out of nowhere that day. I mean you don't have a loving nuturing relationship (like most humans do) with animals everyday and than one day decide to torture one for enjoyment. My guess is the parents have seen this behavior a few times at least and pretended it does not happen. In most cases I bet you parents see this and pretend it doesn't happen because it is so repulsive to us in nature. Even if those parents didn't know anything about pshychology or crimminology (in as far as the serial killer theory), I would be taken aback if they didn't find some repulse in it.

I hope the aussie authorites interrogate the boys about animal graves around the kids homes and even look. People who torture animals for sheer pleasure is a problem. I hope they don't just let this one go after an interrogation.

If so, whatever posessed these KIDS to do this? Parents?

I just hope some big mofo cat comes and rips them apart.

When I was younger my mother got into quite a few arguments with the grandparents and other relatives of this one kid. He would pick up cats by the tail and swing them around then toss them in the air. My mom would go out just a screaming at him and then his relatives would threaten my mom.
It is bad when guardians of children coddle them and blind themselves to the truth if their children are being violent and destructive.
