To me it means .That's too deep for me! What is the difference in your view?
That would depend upon the context. Knowing and understanding what?In your view what is the difference between knowing and understanding?
I don't know very much about a sufi viewpoint, but that sounds similar to what the Buddha said. All very valid. To me it means .
Knowing = what you learnd by reading and what scholars has told you.
Understanding come from doing and practicing.
Actually i was thinking the difference in the meaning in ever topic, where people say i know or i understand. That would depend upon the context. Knowing and understanding what?
Even as a Baha'i i carry everything i learned through the different religions/cultivation paths i have takenI don't know very much about a sufi viewpoint, but that sounds similar to what the Buddha said. All very valid.
Yes, you have the book first and then practice it and really find out.Can one understand but not have the knowledge?
I think that's wonderful! Baha'is need every viewpoint, from every religious tradition. From that we can build a world civilization.Even as a Baha'i i carry everything i learned through the different religions/cultivation paths i have taken
In your view what is the difference between knowing and understanding?
I agree with the general thought. Most of the time understanding only comes with practice, but more generally understanding is the ability to do.To me it means .
Knowing = what you learnd by reading and what scholars has told you.
Understanding come from doing and practicing.
Baha'is need every viewpoint, from every religious tradition.
To me, the difference between the word meanings, can be demonstrated by the Egyptian pyramids:In your view what is the difference between knowing and understanding?
Yes i just wonder, did the egyptians really build the pyramids ?To me, the difference between the word meanings, can be demonstrated by the Egyptian pyramids:
We “know” the Egyptians created them, but we don’t “understand” how they did it.
Does that help?
I “know” you wrote this, but honestly, I don’t “understand” it.I know I dont understand science.
As science it's practice is to take earths body status by human only awareness.... to change anything in any place by human choice.
I don't know why.
I don't understand why.
Yet I know you cause it as I've observed you as natural human by natural observation.
If you claim I think whilst seeing you hence you know.....of course I do..yet I'm not using a thesis you are. Knowing you are wrong.
I know you are destructive as I see you are.
I don't however understand why you made those choices as you are just a human too.
Sounds like you are a “Chariots of the Gods “ fan!Yes i just wonder, did the egyptians really build the pyramids ?
While I was writing my response, I was wondering if someone might bring this up!Yes i just wonder, did the egyptians really build the pyramids ?
