Knowing = what you learnd by reading and what scholars has told you.

Understanding come from doing and practicing.

Actually i was thinking the difference in the meaning in ever topic, where people say i know or i understand.

Can one understand but not have the knowledge?

I think that's wonderful! Baha'is need every viewpoint, from every religious tradition. From that we can build a world civilization.

I agree with the general thought. Most of the time understanding only comes with practice, but more generally understanding is the ability to do.
E.g. you may know how an internal combustion engine works but you only understand it if you can fix it. That usually requires having practiced it but sometimes you could have learned that also without having practiced.

As science it's practice is to take earths body status by human only awareness.... to change anything in any place by human choice.

Yet I know you cause it as I've observed you as natural human by natural observation.

If you claim I think whilst seeing you hence you know.....of course I do..yet I'm not using a thesis you are. Knowing you are wrong.

I know you are destructive as I see you are.

I don't however understand why you made those choices as you are just a human too.

To me, the difference between the word meanings, can be demonstrated by the Egyptian pyramids:
We “know” the Egyptians created them, but we don’t “understand” how they did it.
