Koan collection recommendations

Can someone recommend some good koan collections that can be bought on Amazon? I have like zero experience reading them except for what I've been told in a few lectures at university.

hmm maybe there is a hardcopy of it. I have a kindle e-reader but converting pdfs is a hit or miss. No suggestions for a hard copy off of Amazon? I have like a vehemently visceral hatred of reading ebooks on the laptop and computer screen :cover: Hurts my eyes

I dont have a particular version to recommend but, the Blue Cliff record and, as Dyana mentioned, the Gateless Gate, are good ones to get. You'll have to do some research on particular versions unless someone here knows of good ones.

Crossfire pointed out Zen Flesh, Zen Bones. That's the translation of The Gateless Gate I have, and I feel it's a good translation.

Having studied both the Mumonkan (Gateless Gate) and Hekiganroku (Blue Cliff Record) in depth, I would highly recommend both of them, as they are the two most widely used classical koan collections in Zen.
