One of my primary practices is investigating koans, specifically, hua tou. One of the first things that one is supposed to achieve is great doubt. What is this great doubt?

One of the koans im fond of and think more often is original face. I intellectualise a lot about it and keeps leading to muse the origin of the initial thought of original face.
I dunno if great doubt has yet surfaced though *grin*.

Are you concentrating on one or several at once?
