Lack of belief in gods.

Um... no!

Why did you bring that up?

The butterfly effect is chaos. I was referencing its exact opposite: order through consciousness.

I don't know (yet) why you would bother believing in an "initial thrust" at all.
Chaos is now a science....and there is order in it

and all motion is the remnant of the that initial 'bang"

An interesting thread-- so long as you skip over of the nonsensical posts (hint: the ones without any punctuation), and just read the rebuttals.

I have nothing more to add, except that I'd say that the nontheists are clearly ahead by several points-- if anyone was keeping score (I quit several pages back... zero to whatever is still a zero).

I did find it interesting the degree of patience as exhibited by most of the posters herein. I'd have given up long ago at the continued refusal to answer a single coherent question (mr no-punctuation).

But I learned a thing or three about others that I admired, which was welcome. Even one Theist-- which was even more welcome!

Cheers! and R'Amen too!

I'm saying.....you have to make a choice

I don't think it's that difficult

substance first?.....or Spirit
keep cause and effect in mind as you do so
What if the universe is infinite and eternal, meaning that it is in a constant expansion/contraction cycle? Although we don't know for sure whether the universe had a beginning or not, it is certainly possible that it did not. So, if we do find proof for an eternal universe, would your belief change?

the motion indicates a starting 'point'
the motion indicates expansion into darkness

a beginning

an end
