For y'all's information. They are calling it the worst mass shooting in American history on CBS. And the thing about it is, they say this guy must have had experience with weapons. Like, military maybe? We still don't know what his motive was. Smh

As far as the O.P. it's a complete tragedy and the details will emerge in the next few weeks, I personally find it disgusting that a few posters here seem to want to make this into a political/religious blame game, it says much about them and their agendas.
Not sure I understand that logic.

ISIS claimed the attack a few moments ago. Associated Press reports:

I am cautious about this. ISIS will claim responsibility for anything and everything at this point, including hurricanes and earthquakes, if they think that will improve their rapidly diminishing profile.

They don't claim all attacks, even those that fit their MO. We'll see if proof shows.

They never claimed the attack in Finland, though it was certainly inspired by them and the attacker used their methods and targeted women just like the attack in France yesterday.
Finland hasn't done anything in the Middle East. Also it has close relations with Russia, which matters.
I am watching an interview with the deceased suspect's brother. He is in shock. The brother seems a normal suburban guy and says that his brother lived a normal life in a different state, had a girlfriend, had no military background, got together with mom on Thanksgiving and talked on phone and exchanged cookies and greeting cards. May not be telling the truth though. We will see.
What kind of support do victims and their families usually get from the state. Do they get free medical rehabilitation, monetary compensation or jobs or childcare support if the working adult gets killed/disabled?
