Last election

We had Republican after republican putting up thread after thread about how Trump won and both parties got into argument over why Hillary did not win.

I mean we were here talking all night.Niw I'm one of the few who has thread although this like my tenth thread.

But Republicans and Dems are strangely quite. Why is it so dead? I'd think Republicans would either argue how the election was won sense that's what they're man is doing.

Other than my and your threads, and the brief burst in number of threads after Biden was declared winner.. i haven't seen a lot. I really didn't expect to either.

Lack of surprise.
Most knew Biden would win (fears by his fans that Trump
would eek out another victory notwithstanding). So I think
Dems were merely relieved, Pubs accepted the inevitable,
& many of us had no real horse in that race.

I totally misread the thread title and thought it said, for whatever reason: "Last elect" and was about the chosen and called to heavenly life. haha. My bad. I will move on. (I also realize this is a pointless comment.)

Pointless comments are fun.

I am hanging loose to see what comes next. I don't believe the world will unravel should Biden find his way into the presidency. It's just a wait-and-see at this point. ;)

I think that the people who support Trump understand that the election hasn't finished yet. So there's not anything to argue about. And if it does finish and Biden wins, then there isn't anything to argue about either. So that just leaves Biden supporters to talk amongst themselves about winning an election.

You see Hillary supporters are the ones who manifestly made it clear that they don't know how to emotionally cope with losing an election and that's why they argued endlessly when she lost. They simply couldn't cope emotionally. For the most part, Trump supporters won't have the same trouble coping emotionally with a loss. That's why you can't get very many of them to argue with you about who won the election.

The other thing is: don't make the mistake of thinking that Trump supporters see themselves as Republicans. They don't. They really don't. Trump supporters only support the Republican party because of Trump. The Republican party doesn't have anybody who can run in Trump's place, because any other candidate simply can't get their support. That's why Republicans couldn't keep Congress in 2018. No other candidates is sufficiently inspiring.

Well Bien has already been elected. Thanks for your answers. Biden is president but I guess Trumpers don't believe it and are waiting for a different answer.

This has in part to do with the surprise. When Hillary lost it was against the odds. Every poll was in her favour. This time it was clear that Biden would win, just not how big.

Yeah, it's also true that this is second time around. So it's not as big of a surprise that the polls were blatantly wrong again.

Oh yes it is. Its just that Trump, because he is such a narcissist, cannot admit defeat. These so-called lawsuits he intends to file? They will not happen. You have to actually have merit to file suit.

You don't need need lawsuits to have recounts that, yes indeed, are going to happen.
Perhaps the recounts and the lawsuits will amount to nothing. Entirely possible. Time will tell and then everything will be settled one way or the other, regardless of what Trump or Biden say. I appreciate your prognostication on the outcome of the lawsuits, but if you say the matter is settled already, then you are simply incorrect.

The states in which recounts are going to happen won't change the outcome of the election.

While it is true recounts and court cases have to be settled before the actual decision it is less likely that Trump will win. But if you say so I am waiting for final outcome too.
