Last thoughts

Let's say your in some kind of accident, or any situation, in which, you know you only have a few seconds, if that, to live. What is going through your mind? What are you thinking? Are you repenting for past sins, looking back on a good life, wondering what awaits you after death or what?

I have no idea what would be going through my mind, and I hope I don't find out for a long time. :) I imagine it would be something like 'ohcrapohcrapohcrap, don'twannanotexistdon'twannanotexist...'

in a situation my last thoughts would probably not be very noble...they'd be something like...

"ouch"

or

"this sucks big time"

I'm not sure my underwear would be clean , after the accident ... ;)

But if I was thinking that I only had a few seconds to live , then that would likely be what I am thinking ...

"wake up, wake up, wake up, please wake up"

The funny thing is ... I usually do. I die or get into really bad situations in my dreams - A LOT.

I don't think any of us has a clue how we would think at the last moment; knowing the way I think, I'd probably be worrying that I'd not left a note with the code to open all the financial documents on the computer...........now, that's a point.........:D

I don't know what it would be, but this reminds me of a Barenaked Ladies song in which a person falls asleep at the wheel.

Driving home to be with you
The highway's dividing, the city's in view
As usual, I'm almost on time
You're the last thing that's on my mind
I wish I could tell you the way that I feel
But tonight is the night I fell asleep at the wheel
And then, as the person is drifting up and away from this life...

In all the confusion, there's something serene
I'm just a posthumous part of the scene
Now I'm floating above looking in
As the radio blares and wheels spin
I can see my face slump with a grin
And you...you're the last thing on my mind
You're the last thing on my mind
You're the last thing on my mind
I always cry at that point. 'You're the last thing on my mind" gets turned from being "the furthest thing from my concern at this time" to "the thing that I treasure so much that I would spend my last moments in this life thinking of".

Arrrrgghh... Crying again!

I must spread some karma before giving it to Feathers again, but the song she posted sums up what I was going to post. I'd probably be thinking of loved one(s), and wishing I could say goodbye.

Thank you Feathers! I have to download this song. I've never heard it before, but that is exactly it. I know I would be thinking of my children, they would definitley be my last thought.
