Left Behind (2014) Nicolas Cage

Hi,

has anyone seen the movie Left Behind (2014) with Nicolas Cage? It will be released on DVD in Germany in a couple of days. A critic on rottentomatoes stated it was merely a movie about preventing a plane crash. I'm torn between buying it for having a good laugh and not buying it in order not to support people I wouldn't like to be supported.

Gee, hadn't thought about that ...

I have read the first book of the Left Behind series so I know what to expect. But I liked Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider and Lord of War, so I thought I might like this, too.

I saw the previous movie. But I will deny it forever. Word has it that this new version is even worse.

I didn't know there was a remake, didn't hear a single shred of news about it before this thread. Therefore I'm pretty sure it'll be a cheaply made movie, and the HD version costing less than a can of soda at Walmart.

I just saw the trailer. It looks cheesy, boring and silly.I want to see the old Nicolas Cage like in "Rumble Fish","Raising Arizona" or "Peggy Sue got married."
He was awesome in "Moonstruck."
